  1. I would like to appeal to ladies riding ALONE on the cycle track between Lower Church st and CT Civic Centre to be very careful.Rather link up with another rider/'s.Saw 2 ladies riding alone yesterday.
  2. Went for some game viewing at Koeberg this morning.Only 1 other rider out and plenty of game around.Lekka South Easter on the way back
  3. I greet as far as possible.If you don't want to greet ,it is not going to bother me any longer.I will just carry on enjoying myself.
  4. Regularly ride in Koeberg and have never seen any bad boys around . Seen ladies riding by themselves
  5. Frustrating to have to avoid broken beer bottles on the cycle lane on Monday mornings.Would have thought Heineken drinkers would have more class.
  6. Well done judge!!Just need to get that message out to drunk drivers and hit-and-runners.Then I will be able to enjoy cycling without worrying about the idiot driving on the wrong side of the yellow line
  7. Very nice turnout.Very sad for the young family.Big up to the cyclists that said a few words and to the guys from Cape Town Cycles.Really appreciated.
  8. 1st Aid course is a must.Lucky to do it as part of health and safety at work.I was thinking about taking some 1st Aid stuff along on rides while out on my morning ride.Can't forget the lady on the Ou Wapad(K2C)with a hugh gash in her upper leg.The problem is what do you take along and where do you carry it?
  9. If you think you can beat the peak hour traffic by using the cycle lanes in Bree st,think again. Cycle lanes are blocked by construction trucks,delivery vans, electrical contracters and pedestrians forcing cyclists to swerve into traffic.Be careful out there!!

  11. Did the section of Old Mamre rd from Philidephia rd past Vaatjie school this morning.Very bumpy and even in the middle of the road there are sections where the tar is breaking up.Be careful out there
  12. Should have known better than to leave my bike outside Golden Acre after being stopped from taking it inside.Was assure by security guard that he would look after it .Came back to find pepperspray missing and security missing as well.MOTHER!@#
  13. Lost control at 250km\h ,smacked into 2cars and 2 spectators.Part of rally from JHB to CT for high-end cars that were doing Jaguar hillclimb that was being advertised by the big billboard on top of Simola hill.

At 10.30am I drove past the entrance to Llandudno( on my way to Houtbay) and saw road blocked off by about 5 ambulances and fire trucks.A road bike had gone down and there was a lot of glass on the road .Very scary and sad sight.Bike looked F.....ed.Lots of riders out that way this morning.Hope the rider gets well soon.Be careful out there
  15. Did my first.Loved it.Just over 5h.Respect to LADIES going down Pr Alfreds pass at +50km/h.
  16. Watch out for wet road paint and wet draincovers.Also like to ride with clear safety glasses to prevent tears from cold air,especially early morning

  19. Watched some TdF at Handlebar this morning.Glad I don't have to ride on those muddy cobbles/narrow roads.Eina waiting to happen.
  20. Some guys on Marine drive in the dark at 7.am this morning in heavy traffic.Fancy front lights but rear lights need new batteries!!! I am off to get some new ones for myself.Rather use cycle track.
