  1. Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit weird she didn't know her back brake was dragging?
  2. Hi Guys Is anyone doing this commute. I'm pondering a Sunningdale to Southfield commute. I have 2 options. 1) Down the cycle lane to Woodstock and then back along Albert Rd etc. Mapped on Strava and its 34.5km 2) Along the cycle lane to Section Rd in Paarden Eiland then left towards Koeberg interchange, over there and head to Raapenberg, then back over N1 and left through the suburbs to work. Mapped on Stava its 32.5km Distance is pretty much the same I guess I need to decide on taking a chance on the lane near Woodstock or testing traffic through Koeberg/Pinelands... Will be leaving around 5.15 i think...
  3. I can't seem to find registration details anywhere...
  4. Not interested in a Scott. Camber would be a option... but the carbon for 30? ...
  5. I am also looking for a dual suss in this price range.. I like the Anthem.. But the stock wheels are not great. Might need to ensure there is enough for a wheel upgrade...
  6. ASG .. no details anywhere regarding late entries... please post something
  7. I have a race entry and my partner I would like to move to the adventure. If anyone is interested in swapping please contact me.
  8. This has bothered me for a while, but what I saw this morning has finally pushed me to a point where I need to rant! People living in the Table View / West Coast part of Cape Town are very lucky to have access to a cycle lane that goes all the way into town. Not all cyclists who commute are so lucky. My commute to work in Observatory is 21km's, 17 of those are on the cycle lane... only 4 have to be spent riding in traffic. On a fairly regular basis I see cyclists choosing to ride on the road and not use the cycle lane, more often I see this near Sunset Beach. There is a fairly wide yellow line there but you are still riding right along side moving vehicles. This morning I saw 2 cyclists (1 male 1 female) kitted out in rather nice Aurecon clothing, cycling in traffic further along Otto Du Plessis. On the stretch of road that goes past the Milnerton High School. Now that section is where a few cyclists were killed when the road works where happening there, its also being made even narrower due to the bus lane. This all equates to a even less space for said cyclists to use. There is a perfectly good cycle lane right next to the road, so WTF don't they use it? Surely the chance of getting a puncture is much more appealing than death by car? I know which I'd choose. I can only conclude that these 2 people are stupid, if they were to be involved in a accident we'd all be up in arms about people in cars not sharing the road. Stupid people like this should NOT be allowed to ride bicycles as they give all cyclists a bad rep. My personal opinion is that if you chose not to use the cycle lane and you are involved in an accident on that stretch of road, you have quite simply asked for it. Rant over.

Its a bit daft to rave about how fast they deliver. If they were delivering the package themselves 100% of the way, then I reckon you could. They only have control over how fast your order gets processed and shipped.. then its out of their hands, literally!
  10. So you're saying you are not insured against something like this?
  11. Hopefully books for the staff on how to provide customers with good service... Why is that **** service is almost always associated with big stores that offer cheap prices?
  12. I already have horns, I was born with them...
  13. I've heard that Koeberg is closed due to a security incident or something similar. Can anyone confirm this and is there any information when it will be open again? It's the one place I can take my son and let him ride without worrying about cars... plus he gets to see a few animals.
