  5. they are NOT made by trek. They are by ENDURO FOR TREK i.e. any bike shop who buys from rush can get them.
  6. Just a note on this , years ago I had to replace 6903's in a front hub. The previous chinese ones lasted barely a year. Bit hard on a set of NTN bearings , I roughly remember nearly R150 each Couple of years on I sold those wheels with those bearings still in there , so even if its just down to betters seals I ill always but the best possible bearing I can ( and I don't include Enduro in that , their bearings are mediocre at best )
  7. That's because its a Trek bearing made by Enduro Its doesn't appear on any other frame that I'm aware of other than Treks , you are right you can find them cheap but then its the 7m one not the double row 11 or 12mm one
  8. Years of experience tell me another layer of rim tape here would've saved you.
  9. If you can already strip you frame and pu back together and know how to use a torq wrench then this won't give you much more than a piece of paper. I'm working to get a gentleman through the 3 levels but its just so he can have the paper work , he dropping motors and doing some of the most complex mech work already daily its just the informality of it is getting him screwed over. Personally I would like to go for the wheel building course cause that's something I'm still not comfortable with , the rest i can do pretty much eyeclosed If you're a decent home mechanic then maybe look into the focused courses on stuff you don't feel confident with , the home mechanic course is for people wanting to start working on their own bikes that don't already have knowledge on how to

  12. You watch an aircan service and they estimate full rebuild. The disconnect between what actually needs done and what means what between bike shops and consumers is staggering
  13. Get a new rod and seal kit ? Assembly should swap over the kits come with new seal heads afaik. Give bad rating showing as much detail as possible and move on, not worth losing sleep over

  17. Just an fyi out there A torque wrench needs to be calibrated often , when i worked in a shop the ones we used went in once a year , my personal one will be going every two year. Also nothing throws the calibration off quite like setting it and then leaving it on the setting. Unwind fully before putting away And even with perfect calibration ....tolerance is a real thing which is why i also always go .5nm under the recommended setting on the fastener.

NO basically 10spd was just much less sensitive to changes or setup quirks Because it only has to move 9 times in a fixed space it had much more grace or room for error where a 12spd system must move 11 times within that same fixed space so the smallest change has a bigger influence on how smoothly the whole thing operates. Like chain directionality is one of those factors
  20. Okay no doubt but I literally fine comb my policy multiple times to make sure of every possible eventuality I now have a broker and still went through it myself. If i get home tomorrow and my frame has spontaneously developed a crack I have little to zero doubt they'll pay out.
  21. If its mentioned beforehand and you're covered for all risk then why not I claimed a frame in 2016 that broke and i was not the original owner , paid out no fuss
