  1. Yip, my thoughts exactly...Still hoping to resolve this. It does have potential!
  2. Hi chaps, A brief update... I received the frame back from Durban and I'm really disappointed! Sadly the finish and final product is really poor workmanship....I'm in discussions with Mohammed at the moment and he has asked me to return the frame back to Durban for "air brushing". I understand that the process is not perfect, but you can clearly see there has been no pride in this work. The cost of just the transport alone will soon be more than the paint job. Lets see where this goes. Perhaps this was a mistake and they can redo the frame... If nothing else, it will be a good Friday discussion and a "told you so" session
  3. One lonely BMC rider up front the peloton...any reason?

  6. I've had my hook plate in for close to 3 months now. Going to see the doc next week to plan the extraction... Lots of sympathy for you dude! This hasn't bee a pleasant "ride"... I took 10 days off work, then returned. So 6 weeks is a bit excessive...but not everyone is the same. The first 3 weeks is hell regarding pain and the ability to even get dressed. Putting on underwear, socks, shirts and pants are seriously tough and painful. I remember taking about 20 min to get dressed the first day back at work and then 5 min to recover from the effort... While the plaster/cover was over the cut, I didn't attempt the IDT because of the excessive sweating. When the cover came off, I realized that supporting your weight on the trainer was not easy. My first 30 min IDT was 27 days after my fall. I'm now able to do 1h30 IDT sessions while watching TDF with minimal discomfort the following day. I use a climbing block to reduce the forward weight on the trainer. The pain is still there but manageable. I think the hook plate and damaged muscles around the injury are probably the cause of discomfort. Hope this helps. Good luck with the operation! Wish you the best of recovery so you can get back on the bike.

  15. As you can tell, I don't know much about road racing and TDF, hence the reason I like Froome But this year, I'm voting for the underdogs - Nairo/Movistar. If nothing else, for a more competitive race!
