  1. Hi there - anybody out there that have telephone contact details for the guys from Ecobound - the event organisers for the Transbav. I've been trying their number on the website (044 871 4455) for almost 3 weeks with no success. Can anybody help with a cell number of the organisers or a different number for the office? Thanks in advance
  2. Befor I started taking cycling seriously I was weighing 90kg and was only 1.70m tall, I played prop for the o/15 B team at our school, then in August I started pedaling to get fit for the Spur MTB schools series and got bit by the cycling bug! After about 1500km I lost 15kg's.Its not as much as the other hubbers but it has improved my cycling alot and I'm verry proud of it
  3. Just bought a set of wheels from a hubber, DT swiss XR400 rims laced on DT swiss 240s hubs with anodized spokesLooks pretty nice! Will post pics as soon as possible
  4. That's what we plan to do, we are just going to buy a new set of grips, maby new chain and casette and if possible a new saddle!
  5. So a while back me and my dad decided to build a bike, after alot of speculation we agreed on a Carbon,duel-sus 29er with sram 2x10 parts. Thats where the hunt began and after a few weeks of crawling the hub and constantly refreshing the classifieds feed we finally got an amazing frame from a hubber (CraigK) He supplied the frame, fork , stem, bar and a seatpost clamp! Next up is wheels... I will upload pics of the parts as we get them and as the build takes shape.
  6. There are verry few bike shops like Tool-up cycles in Midrand. In my eyes they are the best in the business!Always friendly and eger to help.
  7. I have finally made the leap and decided to structure my MTB training. All I need is a training program! - there are 1000's of programs available on the web - from Fittrack to STRAVA to Suunto to Garmin - everybody has a training program. But, what is the science behind them - how I know that this program is for me? Thus, next step - get a coach. This is not so easy either. How do you know that a coach is worthwhile - what should I be looking for? Please don't bash anyone - I just want to know who is good and what should the credentials be of some-one to whom you pay fees as your MTB / Cycling coach
  8. I currently have 3 RaceTec timing chips linked to my name (various reasons for having 3 - of which 2 is dormant). I requested to transfer 2 of these to my children so that I don't have to buy 2 more chips @ R120 each. This request has been refused because there is data associated with the chips. I told them they can delete the data and "format" the chips. The response: we cannot delete data or re-progamme the chip. How can that be? How can you not delete data or reprogramme a chip? Can anyone please help me understand. It had to be done the first time? Losing the data associated with the chip is OK.
  9. Hi there - any one out there with a Amabubesi finisher cycling shirt for 2014 that is too big for them? I have a XL shirt that is way to small for me - I'm looking for a XXXL. Maybe with some more training I will fit in a XXL as well! Francois 083 630 7688
