At 07:10 this morning, was cycling northbound on the M4, near York Road, when a lone attacker pretended to cross the road, said "hello sir" and then exposed a small knife and stabbed me in the right side of my chest.

I continued cycling for about 50m, turned into a side road and stopped.

When the attacker saw that I had stopped, he sprinted towards me and I rode away from him.

Alerted a local private security patroller a bit further up the road.

Received medical attention at Constantiaberg Mediclinic emergency. 4 stitches, otherwise all OK.

And putting up arms in victory is in bad taste! Could have rolled over the line… it’s a half victory and he said it himself. Case closed.

Take it you a former golfer, weren't good at it so took up cycling 🧐

Why don't you curse the two chases that ended up sprinting to the line for 2nd and 3rd placing.

    May I ask

When you ride as a crew with mates who are married/engaged/dating. When they break up do we still ride together, do we ride with one not the other, do we ride with the one we initially rode with before they got together?

    Asking for a friend.

Uhm...ride with the person which you were waiting patiently to hook up with after the break up.

You can then start a new riding crew but in a different suburb.

    Just don't enter any cycling races/event's 🤠

My vote goes to the Elite Suito. Great trainer that folds up nice and small when Summer comes around. I have an Elite Zumo and it's not given me a minute of trouble.

    * btw no one is going to say I have an xyz trainer and it's total shirt so your entire thread is essentially a survey on market share..

Yeah Elite Suito...I have one for sale too 😉

The bigger question is WTF is going on in the UK?

Armed bike robberies, home invasions, a clown for a PM, atrocious covid response, brexit - perhaps the fall of the British empire is closer than we think!!!

Perhaps in the near future we'll start see other countries sending their convicts/criminals to the UK - unless its already happening 🧐

This what the UK done in 1700-1800 era with their criminals, shipping them to the USA, Australia

Beginning of this year I bought myself a Fenix 5. Great watch! I could however not for the life of me find a suitable mount to mount my Fenix unto my handle bars. There were the universal bike mounts out there, but usually they were sold out as soon as i contacted the seller. Either that or they were very expensive.
Some background, i am currently studying Engineering and as a hobby i bought myself a 3D printer.

Only after a while i put two and two together and realised that i could just print myself a mount. I could also customise it the way i wanted. I opted in for a mount that attaches to the quick release mounts of my Fenix’s straps and mounts to my stem for a clean look. I started selling these mounts here on bikehub and i was supprised by how many people were interested.

At this stage I am wondering of there were more people out there can can just not seem to find a specific part they are looking for, or replacement for something that broke. Do you guys have any suggestions on things i can design and print? Things like flat pedals that clip into your spd pedals, or more funky things like a coffee cup holder for your bike? What is that one thing that you just can’t seem to find? And have you thought about maybe 3D printing one?

Also the rear spoiler makes any hang on rear not feasible as it pulls onto the spoiler.

He currently has one but  bike isn't stable on this thule hang on type.

With most towbars, has to cut away the middle of the rear bumper.

I'm his brother,  not a stalker lol

What kinda vehicle do you have - cant you just cart your brother along everywhere ????

I can't believe this weather... we haven't had a day like this in forever ! Makes me consider a second loop, has anyone seen anything about it ? I heard in the previous years you could pay a little extra to go for a second loop ?

Easy to believe since this years CTCT is early part of Spring season compared to month of March in prior years...South Easter pumps horrific in beginning of the year (Jan - April)

So his post was the classic 'turn and burn'...

Wade bro, it's a soapy, you're allowed to come back from the dead or say you were possessed or kidnapped....

Sure he'll return to this thread with response...

By this, he was to busy on a long review: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/profile/171276

Bought a di2 groupo from them in Feb last year. No problems at all. Got a really sweet deal on a Wilier frame too. Absolute bargain.

From Merlin Cycles in UK or CompetiveCyclist in USA?

Yea sorry you are right, Jenson was a typo, why i took it off. I think i might be confusing then for amain cycling. I buy from jenson, they ship via UPS. If i need shimano stuff from them i use aramex global shopper

Do you suspect it would have something to do with shipping electronic equipment? Or have you come right in relation to electronic items?

  12. 22 minutes ago, MORNE said:

they dont have any Geo blocking at this stage still. One of the few left.

CompetitiveCyclist in USA doesnt seem to ship such items to RSA so I can only assume the same goes for Jenson USA (but these okes dont have stock)

Here are my last few orders from Merlin:

R1480 tax (R6430 rand value order - only bike parts ) thats roughly 23% total.

R800 tax (R3320 Rand value order - only bike parts) roughly 24% total

R1130 tax (R4720 Rand value order - only bike parts ) roughly 24% total.

R3744 tax (R16250 Rand value order - only bike parts) roughly 23%

    use it, dont use it.

Would they ship Di2 components...I'm in need of deraileurs and considering international purchase as locally I cant find any

The unit is displaying incorrect HR data. Tried different straps and the result is the same. When just riding casually on a flat section the hr jumps to 240 and the next moment 0. When climbing and I'm putting in some effort it displays 60 then jumps to 80 and then for a brief few seconds it displays more or less the correct hr at that moment. At first it was only for a few seconds and progressively it is getting worse and worse. Tried new batteries in the strap but it does not make a diffirence. Also reset the device to factory settings and paired the strap again without success.

Had exactly the same issue with a sigma R1 duo HR - sometimes the reading was just stay fixed on a low number. Since then I purchased a wahoo HR and I'm happy.

Sigma belt I'll probably use to tie a timing chip to bicycle fork ????
