  1. Nice thread this. My wifes car started to jerk and almost like its lost power, its a toyota Tazz. I serviced it. Petrol, oil and air filter. Spark plugs and new oil. Even checked the distributor cap for build up and cleaned the points a little bit. It seems to be better now but every now and again it gives a bit of jerk and almost wants to stall and loose power. Any idea what it could be?
  2. Decided to drill at the back of the seatpost as its the only thing causing me grief and left the other cables externally. Routed the old cable to show you how it came out but will post some pics when i have my new cable and housing and everything back together properly. Just hoping there will not be a catastrophic frame failure...slightly worried about that. Question: how do i route the 2016 giant dropper internally? Cant seem to find anything on google
  3. Have a had a read through this thread. It seems there is no structural affect of a small hole right?
  4. Hubbers, I am wondering if drilling my frame for stealth routing my giant dropper post is a good idea or not. Warranty is not an issue as the bike is really old. Reason for this is that i have to replace the cable now as there was a kink at the top by the seat and the cable was not running nicly down and kept bending at the top instead of running straight down and this has caused the housing now to break by the seatpost. There are 3 options i can see here: 1) Drill the hole as per picture and piggyback on the brake cable or 2) Drill the hole as per picture at the back and run it under the bike and run under the bottom tube. Only issue is that there is only an option to run a bare cable (no housing) so not sure if this will add dirt tonthe cable causing issues. 3) Dont even bother and keep as is. Your thoughts are welcomed :-)
  5. Really nice looking fork. Pity it don't come in 26 inch
  6. Except for my torque wrench, saint pedals and 2 chains+lube, i discuss all MTB purchases with the wife..shes just not budging on a new MTB...i guess its got something to do with our second daughter being born 2 weeks ago....something abouts nappies, formula and creche....hahahah
  7. And an IPad...lol...as if a whole new kitchen is not good enough..haha
  8. Always liked Trek, these are no exception...beautiful
  9. I recently bought this first ascent base layer for R399...sublime piece of kit. It works brilliantly, keeps you warm when cold and cool when warm. Its a tight fit, like compression, and hugs your arm pits and for me i hate tight fitting clothing but after a few minutes riding it just works and you don't even notice it wrapping around you like a chappies wrapper
  10. Not quite old enought to ride yet (4 hours), but she'll get there
  11. Also have a pair of those..great shoes.
  12. R549 if i recall correctly. See them in the classifieds often. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/169542-every-bike-needs-a-bell-spurcycle-bicycle-bell/
  13. I bought this a while back when on special as I thought it was super cool. Somewhat dissatisfied when getting it as it felt flimsy and cheap but fitted to bars and off I went. A few rides later I clipped my bars on a tree, not hectic enough to fall but enough to good me off balance. When finished with my ride, I realize that the one side of the sumarai was completely gone and I made sure they were tight. Then, later u noticed that the other side had broken off somewhere, somehow and was left with half of it in the bar which I managed to get out. This thing is a great idea but weak and poorly made, waste of money from my experience.
  14. This is cool but still rather pricey compared to giants offering and they both mechanically actuated. Like the kashima option, what benefit does this guve over the anodized version?
  15. I really like the logo, think it looks awsome. Do the baggies come with lining?
  16. It's a thing a beauty this but I do have a question and pardon my ignorance, what happens if you need to put the seatpost further down in the seat tube? There doesn't look like a lot of space with that angle or am I totally missing something here?
  17. Then you can go straight from your ride to a golf game without even changing :-)
  18. Nice sunset on our ride, Brakpan Side
  19. Cool pic. Soon i will have a similar pic but the other girl won't be my 2 year old daughters friend, it will be her sister who arrives in about a months time :-)
  20. A pricey shim but was sponsored by a cousin who recently visited the US :-)
