  1. Contact a Spez store. Don't expect it to be an in-stock item. FWIW, N+1-itis bit me just before Covid and I paid 10K for a frame, so strap in....
  2. yeah, the concept of finding your helmet in a darkened room by smell alone is a bad one....
  3. never nice to see. awful for everyone involved.
  4. Not yet. I'm waiting for a gap in work and studies to take the gap. I'll be sure to report back.
  5. cup and cone bearings have advantages over sealed bearings. And some disadvantages, too of course. One big plus is the ability to DIY service with minimal tools on a long weekend ahead of a long ride. Properly set up, they are a delight and remember, Shimano only recently stopped using them on Dura-Ace. Granted, the TR bearings you note probably aren't Dura-Ace quality, but still, not terrible. Well maintained, they can be flawless. FWIW, my 25 year old XTR SPDs are cup and cone, and they've never been serviced and are still smooth.
  6. or fall off like he did last week (c'mon, we were all thinking that)
  7. I'm not sure it's a coffee ride hey...
  8. Typically, the comment here would be 'friends don't let friends use Ryobi', but for tubeless, this will be fine. If you ever need to use it for more than seating the occasional tyre, this may become frustrating.
  9. that is so pretty. there's nothing like straight, round tubes. what's the clearance like at the back, tyre-wise? many happy miles! also, have you considered some clear stickers to protect the frame where the cables rub at the headtube?
  10. ^^^^ This. Try it on. And take your eyewear and beanie/buff/skullcap along to make sure. I was adamant I wanted a new Abus. Tried it on and took it off after a second... seems I have a bump on my head the helmet did NOT accommodate it...
  11. roads and people are the same, but fewer punctures guaranteed! But Ouberg Pass is just as steep!
  12. Proper selflessness and a proper team player. But those white shorts... bold move
  13. It's a long, flat race. This isn't Strade where the terrain was tough as nails. If UAE set a high tempo on the flat from a long way out, it makes a nice train for all the others in the mix to sit on and get a nice tow. That doesn't help Pog at all, as they all get to the same place nice and fresh - the Cipressa and Poggio, and we know they're not steep enough for him to distance anyone... Last year they were braking into the corners going up! Worst case for Pog is some sprinters that can go up hill decently stick with him - they'll pull his pants down at the finish... This happened in Flanders when MVDP beat him (and a couple of others), until he worked out he can drop them on those nasty climbs. MSR doesn't have hard climbs like that. Using that tactic, Pog will likely win Flanders every time he starts But, he can still get first place in MSR, but I doubt it'll be because he wins, more a case of the others losing. One thing's for sure, there will be a thoroughly deserved winner.
  14. for fitting an anti-chainsuck thing perhaps?
  15. At 300k, I'm quite disappointed it only has 2 colourways... At that price, I'd like to get a handful of colours to ride on different days. I think that'd be nice. #disappointed. I'll pass until they make it in more colours
  16. a Vuka scooter will do too....
  17. 295K? I got a very decent 2nd hand Pajero pretty recently for that. Probably has lower running costs too... This isn't the bike for me... I'm not a dentist
  18. I'm thinking Pedersen is in with a good shout. I feel if Pog wants to win, he'll need to do it from a long way out—most of the front runners can hang with each other on the final climbs, and whoever wins will do so in sparkling style... Unless it's from 80km out.... Why do I always feel like putting money on Bettiol? sooner or later, I'll get that one right... Will it be a short breakaway on the Poggio (Pidcock, VDP, Moho, Trentin, Pedersen), a small bunch sprint (Pedersen, Kooij, et al) or a long break (just Pog in this category)? It's VDP's first racing day, and I bet everyone (including him) is wondering what he's bringing. I hope he takes home the trophy...
  19. i recall trying that with GCN+ on my phone with a VPN running, and it still said 'nope'. PC was fine though. Perhaps it's a phone thing?
  20. from their FAQ "If you sign up for discovery+ at discoveryplus.com, you can pay for your subscription using any major credit card or PayPal. We currently do not accept prepaid credit cards. If you sign up via the discovery+ app on a supported device, you can pay for your subscription using any payment method supported by your device."
  21. The first 6 digits of your card contain country information. Eurosport used to check that against the P address location and say 'yay or nay' if there was a match or not. That changed to jsut use the card/country of issue detail, and so for SA cards, it's been a 'nay since' Similarly, Paypal is funded by a card, and that has a country of issue, and that's also checked. I tried Shyft, and that failed too. Seems the Apple route is using a credit balance of a UK Itunes account (is that still a thing?) to pay the D+ subscription. That may apply to a Google Play/pay-type thing as well. Either that or get a mate in the UK to subscribe on my behalf. We all have one of those... The upside of D+, is that it comes wth other sports too, notably the Olympics later this year, and Le Mans. I'll wait until MVDP starts racing... anything else is meaningless
  22. I failed with Kodi, so your winning at it is getting me motivated to try again. Would you mind sharing the procedure you used to get this right?
