  1. Any idea on price and and availability here in SA?
  2. Heaven forbid that anyone takes responsibility of their own actions! It's seems that everyone is just a victim of their own circumstances...
  3. Doing a course (or downloading Youtube) is one thing - having a reasonable collection of tools is another...
  4. That explains why she went so quiet after last year's Epic. Her and Candice were riding such a great PR wave after the stick incident etc. So sad
  5. +1 for Teng Tools! You can take them in to get calibrated (what's the use of a tool like this if it isn't accurate ?)
  6. Crikey! That's just down the road from me. Thanks for posting Glad you are (mostly) OK
  7. splat

    The Classics

Kim le Court rode well too!
  8. Was his offer reasonable ? Is he based on an oil rig ? Is he buying the bike for his nephew ? Will he pay via Skrill Will he send a driver to collect ?
  9. I don't know much about the property prices, but the Plettenberg Bay area has a lot to offer in terms of Mountain Biking. There are pro's and con's to any of the areas that will come up in conversation. Also 'reasonable' prices for property is also very relative.
  10. Blood did not reach sock Owie not worth talking about 🤣
  11. Marianne Vos celebrates 250th road win https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/a-number-you-dont-dare-think-about-marianne-vos-celebrates-250th-road-win/
  12. We did a Overberg Meander of sorts this past weekend. Grabouw to Stanford to Greyton and then back to Grabouw It got VERY hot on the 1st two days and then rained on the 3rd. bouw
  13. WHAAAT! ? That's crazy! I can buy a whole fleet of KTM motorbikes for that!
  14. The models don't look very happy. Probably how you will look if you order from there and nothing arrives.
  15. From the little bit of information that I have heard, the bricks were not random. Luckily the Savage Crew was quite big, as there were lots of 'bystanders' who appeared out of the shadows as soon as he hit the deck. Strangely, the Camps Bay police station is less than a stone's throw from this location. Also, the victim is no stranger to high jackings and incidents with cars. Heal up fast @Pure Savage !
  16. Between R300 & R400, I think. Plus postage
  17. I used CBR in Durbanville Carbon Bicycle Repair - info@carbonbicyclerepairs.co.za 083 357 4368
  18. Why don't you just keep the fork and wheels on the Anthem and ride that ? (Or am I being too sensible? 🤣)
  19. Yep, I'm sure the comments are the same in all corners of the market place. But the bikes keep selling, while everyone else keeps complaining!
  20. That section of road has also taken a beating with various rounds of protest and blockades over the past few years, where tyres etc are burnt in the road. No surface will take kindly to that treatment.
  21. I know that I am not the target market, but I look at these bikes the same way I look at a Super Car. Its just a thing of unattainable beauty and frightening cost. I would like to touch it, but don't think I would want to own it (unless I won several Lotto's). I feel a bit sad knowing that each year and each new model (of any brand) puts me further and further away from owning a new bike. But I do think about the trickle-down tech in future years. I also wonder what it does to the 2nd hand market.
  22. Maybe his is just kidding and meant to type that in Sartalics (or comic sans)
  23. We get a large can of coke AND 500ml bottle of water at the finish - not too long ago, we only got a small paper cup of coke with ice and a few bees. I see that as a HUGE improvement. And road quality ? Cape Town has some marvellous road and a few crappy sections. Out of 109km, there might be some rough patches and a few bumps. Not too terrible in my opinion (give that this is the Southern Top of Africa and all). I haven't done the 94.7 or Amashova, so can't compare their roads. Also, people don't need bad roads to crash on. It seems that they can do that on perfectly flat, smooth and straight roads all on their own!
  24. No lentils this year, so we had chips and Liquifruit for supper
  25. I saw them as I walked past, but didn't have a time to look properly. Very eye catching display!
