For me its just to get back on the bike and over my "injury" . Have a herniated/slipped disc on L4/L5 and the bike really leaves me in alot of pain.
Had an awful 2021, year started bad and just continued that way, coming from 2020 where I did like 16000km on the bike and a fair bit of running and gym work.

No this wont be the Tour Durban route. You will be riding inland from Durban to Shongweni and back.

This out and back ride from outside Moses Mabhida Stadium to Shongweni and back will make for much easier logistics for cyclists wishing to participate in the longer distance

Anyone had issues with ANT+ after latest update? Zwift refused to recognise the trainer thru ANT+, but the native BT worked fine.
only used it once after the update but no issues with ANT.
Get a new helmet. You hit your head against a rock, there may been some fine cracks on the inside that you unable to see.
Not worth the risk.
What is this new Gedore Red like? Always been a fan...
Also had the massive issue of leaving home and not having access to the old mans workshop. 10 years later he comes to borrow tools from me now so it is a win win all round haha
Looks to be decent, not as "solid" in feel vs the blue set but guess only time will tell how they hold up
Been eyeing that set on Takealot!
Also been using my Dad's Gedore socket set (which is older than me) for many years so I have no doubt that these will serve you well.
Its on special at Makro for 4k, and comes with a free 12v cordless drill which is a small but handy thing to have.
Takealot is r4500 at the moment.
Yeah these should last a lifetime. My Dads Gedore stuff is probably 30-40 years old, but also sure that quality was much better back then.
you married well
For sure , always get bike related stuff or nice gadgets for those special days.
Anyone been having issues with the ERG mode in Zwift lately? Did a workout for the first time in a while this evening and I simply could not take the signal drops anymore, so I ended the workout early.
I know the hardware is finnicky when there is other hardware around (BT earphones, tablets etc), but it seems erratic, working fine the one day and rubbish the next.
also having / had some issues with my Direto X on Zwift in ERG mode. and feels like Zwift is changing the resistance on an incline/decline eventhough the workout is set on ERG.
Not sure about these bikes. Good looking frame as per a few of the comments but heavy parts kits to lower the overall price. The launch item will differ from the leaked design pictures which has mismatched Shimano / SRAM parts. I hope they will much lighter than previous models
Those Reynolds wheels are like bricks.
Will need better wheels and a few other bits.
But it does look like great value.
Havent bought anything enjoyed this Forum too much
But seems like its the trek i let shop know this afternoon.
I am also 1,83 tall so i fall inbetweem 56 and 58 has the 56 it fits great but need longer seatpost to make it perfect. Which can be done.
My Emonda is a 58 but obviously not as aggressive.
Spoke to mutiple bike fitters saying if you oj the edge go smaller size.
Any opinions on that?
Like i said to make 56 perfect need longer seatpost
The 56 might be quite aggressive and the saddle to bar drop is going to give you some lower back pain... and you may need quite a few spacers.
Well all depends how flexible you are.
Cranks (rings), cassettes, bars, stems, saddles and pedals can easily be changed to suite - that shouldn't really affect the choice of the bike.
All of those at extra costs...
Would think changing the stem / saddle and maybe the bars on a new bike would be okay, but if you doing anymore then its a waste.
Rather buy a frameset and build up with all the stuff you exactly want.
Someone in our group has a new Madone, checked it this morning, looks really good.
I'd go for the the TREK

Which op did you go for and how long did recovery take ? How does it feel now on the bike ?
Surgeon says I should give it 6-8 months with regular physio and all the home exercises. If it doesnt improve then will have to do the discectomy and have the portion of the disc removed.
Thanks for the link, I see they are not in Dbn but will go through some of the videos.
