  1. I have XT's and this is not a biased statement. Just buy them, put yr UST tyres on, pump to 2.1 or so, get racing and forget about them....
  2. And yet deep down everyone wants one....the Pina SUV that is...All the above comments are made out of frustration and willing the price to be in the affordable range for you and I....I suspect these will look the dogs bollocks in the flesh...
  3. The above has put this one to bed then.... Mr Crasher (aka the Blur) - just bought a ralph for the back and a Nobby Nic for the front...will let you have an assessment after the first couple of race/rides....as soon as that bladdy frame arrives... For those on Monorails up front....you must spend all day saving the front end...and kudo's to you!... B)
  4. If memory serves - some Gary Fisher frames were 23" (XXL) and some Merida's also had a 24" but only by special order... My Merida 900TFS was a 22" and fitted perfectly, but then I am only 6'6" with a 95cm inseam
  5. **** good point sorry - thought you had the option to go disc.....then I recommend making an offer on ONETIME's s-works HT
  6. Lord Kayak!! My manitou sounds just right for you...and it has a 245mm steerer....see my ad!!
  7. No brainer...the New Garmin Edge 800..... http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/garmin-edge-800-first-ride-review-27494

  9. Hi, I'm thinking of doing the shorter distance on Sat coz I'm doing the Dome2Dome on sunday... Very awesome machine you have there sir!! Happy trouble free miles ahead I believe..
  10. Nice one.....now post a pic of the bladdy thing already!!
  11. The Pro's should surely have gone off ahead of everyone and not had the issue of slower traffic? But I do agree if you are talking about the singletrack, where are you supposed to go? In general, respect for the faster guys is due where it's possible and make way, especially on hills so they don't lose momentum. I had an instance last year (one of teh Nissan series rides). Guy came up behind me (don't think he was a pro) on a singletrack and 'told' me to move over - bearing in mind that it was burnt grass and huge tufts on either side - he got 'told' back to F*&%*& off and go around me....
  12. Not sure if this has been covered (nothing under search). Question is: What needs to be done to a frame (besides cleaning it..) prior to it getting all it's bits and pieces tagged onto it.
  13. I used to use this stuff when I lived in the UK. Top products and environmentally friendly I do believe. When done guys!
  14. If I may I really prefer the subtlety of a Thomson seatpost and perhaps a black and white Ritchey stem....on this colour scheme.
  15. And are you also enjoying the new toyota!
  16. A quick scan on CRC reveals a nice little package... http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=40997 My pleasure!
  17. You must have a weird head...Darcs fit like welding goggles Actually I do. For me I don't care about looks more comfort. My eyes are extremely sensitive to light and I have to wear prescription lenses. Can't comment on the D'Arcs but I run Rudy Noyz and I sometimes forget I have them on...that for me is the definition of comfort.
  18. Hi Nigel, as an ex Gary Fisher HT rider I can provide some input here. The Super and X caliber are middle of the road frames. Solid and reliable, but not the lightest. The right place to be looing is at the HiFi Pro or if you have the budget the HiFi carbon which is just below the SuperFly 100 and a frame you will have for ever. I would really check that you want to go 29er...and make sure you gear it properly otherwise it could be a weird and frustrating transition.Ciclismo2010-06-07 03:32:40
  19. GT Racing!! You should settle yr debts from the last game before even wondering about this weekend's contest! and change yr hub name to reflect yr updated and upgraded chief whip... STORMERS will not let them walk it....the BULLS will know they played rugby tommorrow.
  20. Doh! and the search begins...for a new bike... http://www.obike.co.za/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=50&category_id=1&manufacturer_id=2&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 Ciclismo2010-05-16 12:38:36
