  1. Haha the pic was taken a few rides after the sole was replaced
  2. Was about to purchase a new pair of MTB shoes to replace my 2FO flat pedal shoes when my wife suggested she try and have them re-soled at Rocksole. Waste of time I thought. They won't have the right kind of soles with sticky rubber. Well they have been re-soled with Vibram sticky rubber soles (looks and feels exactly the same as Five10 soles) and what a fantastic job they did. They feel super strong and 3 rides later I'm very happy. Wonderful family owned business who have been operating out of the BoKaap forever. Cost was R600 as apposed to R2500 for a new pair. Way more environmentally friendly and helps support a skill one doesn't see much of anymore. With flat pedal shoes the soles get shredded quite quickly from the pedal spikes whilst the uppers often remain in good nick. Crazy to throw away and replace when they can be repaired so beautifully and cost effectively.
