  2. Looking at the Kona on the Web, the GT (LX/deore mix) seems better specced than the Kona (Deore). The J3 lockout shock has also received good reviews. Not sure of the weight diff though and this could be the dec factor. The Kona is given as a XC bike while the GT falls into the All Mountain cat.
  3. i also have a Raleigh M300 MTB (2000) for sale. smileys/smiley36.gif You can get a new Scott Carbon MTB full susp for R20k smileys/smiley2.gif

Havent tried it yet DR, but if i do i'll get the LBS to do it. Got my 1st Puncture on the MTB in a long time yesterday. smileys/smiley7.gif Reading up on the Larsens TT it gets good reviews
  5. smileys/smiley9.gif My latest acquisition is a Merida LX , got an excellent once off deal, too good to pass up. Scott is also an option, just need to replace the saddle (heard they're not so good smileys/smiley2.gif)

  7. You might also want to have a look at the Merida range http://www.merida.com/s0_global/main_control.php?group0=home The 2006 bikes are awesome. Suss the techno details out with DS and Hardtail carbon to alloy frames.
  8. I had a look at the GT at Fritz Piennar and its not bad for the price. Dont know much about the Kona.
  9. Cause it not bike PC DR smileys/smiley2.gif Thanks Linnega, thats what i understand as well. All in the end i think just the change in lenghth should do it.
  10. Excuse my ignorance, what is a the diff between a 9spd and 10spd crank ?? Surely this is dictated to by your shifter and cassete.
  11. Bikemax surely some upper body strenghth excercises in the gym for abs will help? I used to suffer from back and neck strain till i started doing these.
