I think bottom line is how much are you willing to spend on a bike rack? if you want clip type then just make sure that the straps are fitted correctly. Not everybody has 15-20K for a tow bar and proper bike rack so it boils down to your budget. Good luck with your decision David.

Hi all, Just want to get some input regarding the current price of R50 per ride at Modder. It seems like quite a steep price to pay for a ride nowdays and i havent really seen where our money is going to. Just want some opinions about it.

You cant go wrong with a Merida. They well priced and well spec'd in the market. I would suggest as you are starting out to look at secondhand first so that you can familiarise yourself with the geomerty of a MTB and then after a few rides decided on whether to go carbon or alu.

Hi all, I'm looking at upgrading to a 2016 Merida Big Nine 500 within the next week or so and would like a bit of advice on if i'm making a good choice? I do quite a bit of single track riding and wanted to know if the ergonomics of the bike will be suited for this? I'm 1.8m and weigh in at 80Kg. Also is it better to look at going tubeless from the start? comments from the Hub are always greatly appreciated!

Had the same experience as Edge540. Great service and great price on a Garmin. Only snag was i had to follow-up when the order was going to be dispatched as it was advertised as "in stock - can ship immediately" but that was not the case.

I agree with Shebeen. The colour of your bike is generally the last decision to make. Rather choose top components for the money you can afford.

Sounds awesome then! In the 15K price bracket there are quite a few options to choose from but the Cubes seem a bit higher on the build quality.
