I was riding with 3 friends and as we approached the turn into Plattekloof this guy stepped off the island and started running at me. His execution was laughably poor, in that he went for the front guy, telegraphed his intentions way too early, had no visible weapons, and couldn’t change direction quickly.
i managed to swerve around him and sprint away, and he seemed to have already burned all his matches, as he completely ignored my 3 mates behind me.
stopped, swore at him a few times, carried on with life, all a bit surreal really…
I had exactly the same thing happen to me yesterday at exactly the same spot. This guy started running towards me. Luckily I was on my MTB and had my Giro 'tackies' on so jumped off and told him to come so I could **** him up.... he turned around and I carried on

Got reference to an incidence that the same perpetrator was involved with last year with riders. Biggest problem is the Police. I am trying to get them to be pathetic, but have not yet been able. I will make a citizens arrest this coming week if they don't act. It's a complete outrage. If anyone knows a decent legal avenue, pls PM me.
Be bold and go for it, don't let the police apathy deter you. Good luck
Enduro seal didn't work for me. There is only one sealant that can seal hole at high pressure and it's Orange. Also, it is incredibly easy to peal off after a puncture. When I tried Stan's Race I ended up striped my crank and chainrings to clean the mess, nevermind the mess on my shoes
It probably wouldn't be worth shipping by the time you add shopping + taxes.
There only worthwhile option is to add an additional bag to an existing traveller which is £65 on BA

You mean a race entry? You can still buy one for R1250 on the cycle tour website

I was cycling that day when the taxi flew past me and overtook on a blind bend. This guy did well to swerve out of the way and got sideswiped instead of a fatal head-on
You can't beat Irma bike fit 082 802 2183
I'm pretty sure the battery limit is not that big, it is more like laptop sized batteries.
A 'gift' is something stupid like a max value of R800

And YES - I have also maxed the motor to get a KOM on a hill climb. Vines and Views 2023 I put in the hours and worked towards the Skaapkop hillclimb. On the day I stretched my first battery as far as possible, swopping out 10km before the hill climb. Last 3km I sat up and slowed down, getting my breathing and heart rate down. 50m before the climb it was FULL BLAST !! e-bike in full turbo, and my in max heart rate as well !! I blasted up there and got the KOM..... well, until two school kids blasted the field off the mountain 🤣 IF I do V&V2024 I most certainly WILL practice even harder, and try to beat MY OWN time. (my time was logged as an ebike before the prize giving)
'...put in the hours and worked... then swapped batteries '
LOL hilarious

What I meant is that I went in and out of town on my morning ride and didn't see any brick throwers. Same again tomorrow morning
How many times have car drivers been stuck behind a lousy Uber driver or a coach along the coastline, starting and stopping and then crawling at 20km/h. The following cars sit in a queue behind and say nothing. All hell breaks loose if they had to sit behind a cyclist who is cruising at 40km/h.
That Facebook post is a great spot for the unhinged to tell everyone how they would love to kill a whole group of cyclists with their 4x4..
BTW, I didn't know people over the age of 12 still used Facebook

Do we know what time today and yesterday's attacks happened?
Worrying, we ride through there 4 times a week

Paired fine with a Garmin 530 and did the calibration (and again mid-ride because I thought something was wrong). On a gentle hill, seated in a Zone 2-3 heart rate effort, keeping the pedalling as smooth as I can, the power is fluctuating wildly over about 5sec from around 270W-160W - jumping up and down 20-30W at a time. I'm keeping the pedalling pretty consistent and the bike is smooth and stable and going at the same speed - there is no way the power is fluctuating anything like that much.
Checked in with 4iiii and they sent me a link to a tech document saying the unit supplies raw power data and I must implement 3, 5 or 10 sec smoothing at the head unit. Does this sound right? Anyone have experience with this? I'm new to the power meter game so trying to work out if I have a faulty unit or this is normal?
I have the latest 4iiii single sided power meter and my experience the same as yours. Going up a steady climb smooths out the power somewhat but, for example, I would not be able to go and ride a climb at somewhere between 195w and 205w. I could maybe get it in the range on 185w to 215w

Maybe there's more context needed too, but to shame the OP is poor form.
It is poor form but come on, it is non stop... why do people keep giving these MF's easy money. It's really irritating especially when they could have used the BikeHub pay thing.

The R27 road surface is absolutely awful and cars pull over into the yellow lane at 120km/h to allow others to overtake. No thanks
