  1. Because more than one layer is dangerous: https://www.verywell.com/double-bagging-condoms-using-two-condoms-906780
  2. I've never tried that so I can't comment. My guess would be that it's not available for the mobile version of Chrome though.
  3. Not as far as I know. Stravistix is an add-on for Chrome so it reads the data directly from Strava but only works in your web browser on a PC that you have installed it on. Unless I completely missed something
  4. Might be due to the length of the upper part of the derailleur and/or the length of the b limit screw that it is shipped with. Either of these might result in insufficient clearance from the cassette with a 42t cog and then you end up grinding the top jockey wheel on the casette.
  5. Northern Farms is great, multiple routes for different skill and fitness levels (although there is nothing super technical there). Not too far from Midrand/Centurion
  6. Mine was from Cycle Lab and they gave me no replacement cover so I'd get that in writing if I was you
  7. Correct. PS vs PS, PC vs PC etc.
  8. What "science" would you need to see? Activation of the rear suspension only moves the wheel and rear triangle relative to the rest of the bike. Pedaling position is determined by the position of the seat relative to the bb. Since these two are joined by the seatpost (which does not bend or compress any material amount) it is not possible for the pedaling position to change due to suspension activation.
  9. The seat position doesn't move relative to the bb so your riding position won't change (this might not be true for some very funky suspension designs but should hold true generally)
  10. For anyone who is interested, the answer is no, Fox does not have an accident replacement programme.
  11. Thankfully I have time, broke my wrist in the accident so I can’t ride for another 5 or 6 weeks
  12. Oh, I'm absolutely doing both rims Would be a bit silly to just do 1.
  13. Thanks for the input everyone In that case, which hubs would you recommend?
  14. It would be amazing if these ones were on special: https://www.easybike.co.za/oakley-radar-ev-path-polished-black-prizm-trail.html Need to replace mine after face-planting off my bike 10 days ago
  15. So I had a little (somewhat less than gentle) lie down recently and I need to replace my rear rim. I'm currently running the standard Syncros XR2.0 rim that came with the bike (Scott Spark 910 2017) but I'm seeing this as an opportunity to upgrade to wider rims and I'm looking for some advice. I would like to keep my current hubs so I need 28 hole rims. I'm about 80kg for reference. And the rims need to be 29". What would you guys recommend?
  16. Scalpel is more of an out-and-out XC race bike whereas the Spark is a bit more trail oriented (slacker head angle etc.) so it depends what you are looking for. Personally, I have the 2017 Spark and I love it
  17. Slightly OT but I didn't want to start a whole new thread. Does anyone know if Fox have an accident trade-in/replacement programme of some description? Haven't been able to find out anything on the Google-machine so I'm assuming the answer is no but it never hurts to ask.
  18. I find the polarised lenses too dark for mountain biking but they are lekker on the road. Have a set of Prizm Trail lenses for on the MTB. Edit: HAD a set of Prizm Trail lenses
  19. This. The Radar EV Path are awesome. Also I fell off my bike and landed on my face last weekend (hard enough to smash my cheekbone) and the glasses just have some dents/scratches on the lenses. Fairly sure they saved my eye from some damage.
  20. It was very effective. Problem is that it can only be used once Thanks
  21. So bleak I can't ride this year anymore. Had a not so gentle lie down just after the last water point on the 55km MTB race this weekend and have a broken wrist and cheekbone No cycling for me for a few weeks
  22. XT shifters FTW, can grab 4 cogs at a time
  23. Wonderboom: Avg HR 178, Max HR 180, 4m55s, Avg Cadence 70 TJ: Avg HR 179, Max HR 183, 5m19s, Ave Cadence 60 Ran out of legs a bit on TJ because it's pretty similar to Wonderboom but I was quite a bit slower. And yes, compact crank and 11-28 cassette
