  1. Good afternoon Hubland! Is anyone doing this event? I had a chat with the organizer and she claims that the area where it's being held had some huge rains in the summers, so the roads that the route is going along is not really suited for gravel bikes anymore. Can anyone substantiate that claim? I dearly would like to do this race. It seems to be quite gravel friendly. https://www.highland100.co.za/
  2. Hi everyone, I am riding in Clarens this weekend with two beginners. Does anyone have experience on a nice single track in the area? I'm allergic to endless dirt road slogging. Thanks in advance.

  4. Kelrn Vervoer will be hosting the second Kelrn MTB Classic on 15 November 2014 for the benefit of the Christina Kiddie children’s home. It is going to be a fun filled day with the MTB event taking center stage over distances of 12Km, 30Km and 60Km, unlike last year’s event the 60Km track will not be two laps of the 30Km one, but a revised 1 lap track. We are also going to implement professional chip-based timekeeping over the 30Km and 60Km distances. There will be a total prize money of R20,000 in cash to be won, including lucky draws afterwards! Johrnè van Huyssteen, the OFM presenter and DDisselblom band-member, will be our host for the day . The day will however not only cater for those participating in the MTB event, but also for the whole family as there will be a fun walk, classic vehicle exhibition and lots of entertainment for the kids! The event will also coincide with the annual Koeistal Christmas market where an assortment of unique quality, handmade gifts and artwork will be for sale as well as a tea garden for those just looking to have a relaxing day. The 2013 event was a huge success with 138 entries and we would like to thank all involved including our sponsors. We would also like to assure everyone that we only intend to build and improve on this success! 5. We're going to Clarens for the weekend to attend a wedding. I need to get some serious hours in the saddle in preparation for Joberg2C. Does anyone have some routes that they are willing to share (GPX. TCX etc.) - preferably the kind where a farmer does not shoot at you! Thx.
