  6. Jacques Janse van Rensburg put on a strong display of riding at the opening Circuit la Sarthe stage, getting into the break of the day and mopping up all the GPM points on offer. In a nail biting finish, the South African champion fought bravely to only be caught a few hundred meters before the line. The stage victory would go to Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis).   7. The Circuit Cycliste Sarthe is a UCI 2.1 4 day, 5 stage cycle race in France. The race starts on Tuesday 7 April and Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung are happy to be starting this French stage race, our first tour on French soil this year. Click here to view the article
  8. The Tour of Oman reached its conclusion today after the 6th and final stage. The final 133.5km challenge saw the early escape of the day decide the stage with Matthias Brändle out-sprinting his breakaway companions. Iljo Keisse (Etixx Quickstep) was 2nd and Jef Van Meirhaeghe (Topsport Vlaanderen) 3rd. The peloton came home just over a minute later in the sprint for 5th. Click here to view the article

It was a golden day on Saturday for Team MTN-Qhubeka’s Jacques Janse van Rensburg who dominated the 2015 Pennypinchers South African Road, Time Trial and Para-cycling Championships Elite Men’s Road Race on Saturday to finish just under two minutes ahead of the chasing bunch in hot conditions in Mbombela.   12. Fabio Aru (Astana) just pipped Chris Froome to the line to win the 18th stage of the Vuelta a Espana. Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) led the famous Spanish trio (Rodriguez,Contador) home some 13″ later in 3rd place. Our Spaniard, Sergio Pardilla did a great ride to finish the stage in 11th position while our South African climber, Jacques Janse van Rensburg did superbly to finish 20th even after playing a support role to Pardilla.
