  1. I have just upgraded my Jet 9 RDO to a RKT 9 RDO and what a bike - exceeds my expectations! I am amazed that the Niner brand is not yet mainstream in SA given the design and performance of the Niner range. What is encouraging is that Niner is now represented in SA (niner.co.za) by the Bike Mob in Cape Town and they provide excellent service and support - Sean and Neville are the main guys here! Have attached a pic of my latest RKT 9 RDO build.
  2. Niner's new JET 9 and RIP 9 bikes are bang up to date with new geometry, more travel, and 27.5 plus compatibility. Click here to view the article
  3. Niner's history is rooted in the evolution of mountain biking. From the introduction of our first hardtail, we've worked tirelessly to push the limits of what people think is possible when it comes to the construction, geometry and handling of premium bicycles. The R[E]volution that began with the RKT 9 RDO continues with the new AIR 9 RDO. Bigger is Still Better, your Big Wheel Crush is now faster and more refined. Click here to view the article
  4. The R.I.P 9 is Niner's do-everything trail bike with 125-millimetres of rear-wheel travel. The RDO 4-star (Race Day Optimised) is a full carbon model that sits second from the top in the range. It features a carbon swingarm and rocker links with oversized aluminium axles. The suspension design is Niner's own patented CVA (Constantly Varying Arc) dual-link rear suspension. 5. The Jet 9 Carbon is Niner's cross-country offering featuring 100mm of rear wheel travel. Although it boasts the same front triangle as its R.D.O (Race Day Optimized) bigger brother, the "Carbon" version as tested has an alloy rear triangle to keep costs in check. Click here to view the article
  6. From the race track to everyday singletrack, the RKT 9 RDO is made to fly. Our completely new frame design will have you rethinking what is possible on a short-travel, race-ready full suspension 29er. Click here to view the article
  7. It's time to re-launch NINER bikes in South Africa and put them back up where they belong…on podiums countrywide! Click here to view the article
  8. First Look Friday is an introduction to the products that we are currently testing for review. This week we're featuring a Niner Jet 9, a Kitted chainring, and SRAM's X1 drivetrain. Click here to view the article

    Finally - Niner Wheels

http://www.ninerbikes.com/Carbon_CX_Wheelset http://www.ninerbikes.com/Carbon_MTB_Wheelset_XX1 http://www.ninerbikes.com/Carbon_MTB_Wheelset and they solve the wheelsize debate http://www.ninerbikes.com/wheelsize
  12. So here it is: Two bikes, awesome reviews for each of them. The Niner a XC machine with good trail abilities and the Pyga a trail machine with surprisingly good XC capabilities. The frame price is not very different (R19k <> R22k). The Niner will be 1kg lighter. But the Pyga is robust, local and the green just looks rad! I ride Table Mountain and Durbanville trails and hit as many XC races as fit into the calender. Ok, let's see what you got! :-) (I know its Friday and I am already wearing a flame proof suit...;-))

    Niner EBB II

Hi guys, any idea who stocks these and estimate retail price? Needs to be the EBB II, not the old model. I'm running a GXP crank, but according to Niner it is not recommended with any other CYA insert other than the EBB models?
  14. Hi guys/gals. My cuzzie has a choice between the 2 frames. I know which one I'd take, but my opinion doesn't matter in this scenario. Please give input on which frame and why.
