  1. Hi guys Need some advice... I'm currently running flat pedals paired with 5—10's. Trust me, I'm loving it as it suits the riding I enjoy, more trail etc. I however scored an entry for Wines 2 Whales, and am considering making some changes to the bike. I'll probably switch out the 1x10 for a 2x10, and am also looking at going with clipless pedals. What would be the best clipless pedal in your experience? Doesn't have to be the lightest, also not looking to break the bank,. I'm looking at something that provides a solid platform, but it needs to disengage with ease as well.
  2. When the guys at Performance Bikes told us they had some shiny FUNN gear for us to look at, we weren't quite prepared for the colour assault our eyes were in for. The main attention grabber being the Fatboy Chameleon bars, although the two pairs of pedals, the cross-country Tactic and downhill Mamba, can't be labeled as dull either. 3. How about the best of both worlds? FUNN have just launched their Mamba clipless flat pedal which is available in single or double sided clipless. For those tracks with a bit of everything. They with lots of FUNN MTB stuff are available in Black, silver, blue, red and orange at www.performancebikes.co.za
  4. Would you support locally manufactured bikes and components ? Frames , Pedals , crank sets, bottom brackets and brakes.
  5. Good day Im looking to buy a decent set of double sided pedals having Clipless on one side and a big platform on the other side. Im looking at the Shimano PD-A530 but as they are for road I am not sure if they will last if used for MTB. Opinions and thoughts welcome.
  6. Not all flat pedals are created equal and the FUNN Bigfoots are really no joke. Taking the heavy hitting approach, Funn has created a no-nonsense back-to-basics platform pedal. Click here to view the article
