  19. Hi, We are considering driving from Cape town to Sani again. When we take the costs of air fares, costs for bikes on planes, immenent damage by baggage handlers, car hire etc etc it seems that we would be better off driving there and back. Main advantage is that we can have a beer at the top of sani pass. We are doing the trail and can offer a lift for 1 person riding the trail sani2c (bike rack is limiting factor). As of yet this is a feeler and we do not have a value to ask for contribution for the lift but would like to know if anyone is interested. PM me or just reply to this post. Plane tickets are getting scarce so we would like to make a decision by Saturday.
  20. Just wondering what the thoughts are on doing next years Sani2c on a 1x10? Currently riding 32T/11-42 and not really using the 42, I am in JHB though, and I have enough in the 32T not to spin out too early except for a few downhills. Not looking for a podium place!!

  23. As an avid MTB'er and business man I am looking at setting up two development teams with entries to 2015 Sani2c. I want to select 4 previously disadvantaged riders from the Soweto/Katlehong area, preferably guys that are looking at making riding a career or are top of their cycling clubs etc if they have one. The idea is simple, · Identify four individuals that suit the criteria · Organize sponsored bikes and gear · Setup a training program etc which will be either with myself or a professional · Pay for their entry into Sani2c(entries secured already) · Sponsor them getting down to Underberg and back from Scotties · Continue to develop them if it works to do Dusi2c etc etc With the above on the table I was wondering if anyone could lend any assistance in this regard, firstly to assist in identifying the individuals or pointing me in the direction of the person that could assist. Maybe to assist in obtaining the gear sponsorship and training programs/professionals. Any comments and suggestions would be great
