  3. Event Name: 2019 KAP Sani2c Race When: 16 May 2019 - 18 May 2019 Where: Glencairn Farm, Himeville, Underberg, Kwazulu-Natal Category: MTB 3 days of amazing trails though KZN. From the majestic mountains of Sani Pass, Southern Drakensberg to the lapping shores of the warm Indian Ocean at Scottburgh Beach, KZN, South Coast. Included in entry: 2 race villages with tented accommodation (a four-man tent to share with your partner). A comfy high density Vitafoam mattress. You will need to bring your sleeping bag and pillow 3 meals a day plus a 24hour chill zone full of yummy goodies enough to pile on all you have just worked off! Access to all the race facilities and improved permanent facilities i.e. hot showers, bike wash facility, rider chills zones with Clover Vanilla Milks etc. Professional medical support by Berg Medical is included however you will need travel insurance in case of hospitalisation. Full logistical support from Super Group who will transport your bag from race village to race village. 2 to 3 water points along the route with lots to eat and drink. We suggest you bring along your preferred bars or drinks. You don’t need to worry about going hungry. These tables are well stocked! Go to Event Page

  7. so it starts again... Trail entries opened today. After the awesomeness of this year I decided to do it with my wife next year, should be fun. Entered and paid! who else has entered?

As the other two KAP sani2c events, the Trail and the Adventure, continue on their way to the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast town of Scottburgh, South Africa's mountain biking elite will line up for their assault on the three-day route from Himeville to the Indian Ocean on Thursday.   9. I'm looking for Sani2C Race participants driving down from Joburg with space for one or two more persons and bikes. Received a late entry but car shuttle is fully booked. Happy to use our vehicles if you're willing to transfer the shuttle booking. Will contribute to shuttle costs and fuel etc. Alternatively, just to take a bike or two down?
  10. So i am doing the Sani this year, but i just read that i need a GPS, which I don't have. Are any other peeps out there riding without a GPS?

Despite being the first team to reach the finish at Scottburgh on the KZN South Coast in 2016, Gawie Combrinck and Nico Bell had too much time to make up on stage three and finished second overall, however the duo is hoping to go one better in 2017 and finish atop the KAP sani2c podium. In what has been one of the most exciting and unpredictable KAP sani2c's in memory the Race event was a ding-dong affair that went right down to the breakers of Scottburgh as the pair of Matthys Beukes and Gert Heyns overturned a two minute overnight deficit to win the overall title whilst the pair of Candice Neethling and Vera Adrian held on to their overnight lead to claim the ladies title on Saturday. As Friday, 13 May dawned many of the top teams at the 2016 KAP sani2c would not have predicted what was about to happen as mistakes from both pairs of overnight leaders flung the title doors wide open with Team Telkom and Team Dorma Time Freight moving into the overall men's and women's pound seats respectively after the second stage from MacKenzie Club to Jolivet Farm.
