  7. The Rumor Elite is part of Specialized’s range of women’s specific mountain bikes. It is an alloy, dual-suspension 29er, featuring 110mm of travel front and rear. Specialized describe it as an “XC Trail” bike, meaning it offers a touch more travel and trail oriented geometry than a traditional XC bike such as the Epic (or the women’s specific Era), allowing the rider to get a little more playful and confident on the trail. 8. After a recent service of my specialized stumpjumper fsr carbon, the lbs told me I have a crack in my frame, the crack is located behind the rear shock, where the main frame post and the vertical post meets. The crack isn't big, hairline thickness, but it's there. Is there anything I can do to fix it i.e carbon welding or is it the end of my frame. Can anyone please give advice to help me?!
  9. Hi I got a Specialized Tactic Mountain Bike Helmet as a gift. Not sure what year model. BUT the person didn't look at the size when he bought it and it is a 2XL. He bought it in USA. So I can't return it or change it. What is a realistic price I can ask to sell and then buy a new one? It's brand new, Mat black with visor etc. I see it on the Specialized website but no price linked to it: http://www.specialized.com/za/en/ftr/helmets/mens-mountain-helmets/tactic

We've lived the trail riding life since we released our first trail bike in 1981, and the feeling has never been lost. We're excited to announce the all-new Camber. Click here to view the article
  11. Specialized Bicycle Components has always worked to provide riders with more than just new products, instead choosing to elevate the rider’s experience with technically advanced products that provide real-world performance benefits. To this end, Specialized built its very own Win Tunnel in 2013, and since then, has been pushing the limits of aerodynamic engineering and design. And now, Specialized is proud to introduce an aero ecosystem of five best-in-class products that, individually, lead their respective fields in aerodynamic advantage, but together, shatter the mold of aero possibility by saving the rider more than five minutes over forty kilometers. 12. Looks like Spez getting all aero with what could be the new version of the Venge. Cav' has been riding it at the Tour de Suisse (not that it's helped him to any wins there). Full article at Cycling News http://cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/2015/06/17/2/1434576042635_1w6pgv2ws2enl_700_80_670.jpg

  15. After changing the fork on my 2014 Camber from a RockShox 30 Gold to a RockShox Reba I'm sitting with a problem. The old fork uses a 9mm QR and the Reba uses a 15mm thru-axle. On the Spesialized site they list the following specs for the Camber Comp I've got FRONT HUB Specialized Hi Lo disc, sealed cartridge bearings, 15mm thru-axle, 32h Is there a easy/simple way to convert the hub so that the new axle will fit either by installing new end caps or must I fit a new hub. The wheels are still the factory default Roval 29 alloy wheels. Thanks
  16. So I've been struggling for a while to get my crank loose as the self extracting bolt was extremely tight. I eventually got it loose today after getting some more leverage using a seatpost. Now I have come accross a new problem. On the Specialized you loosen the bolt on the drive side and it comes off easily(once you get the bolt to turn). What you are left with then is the non drive side and spindle going through the BB. For the life of me I cannot get it to budge. I've banged it with a rubber mallet from a few angles but it is not moving a single millimeter. Am I missing a trick here or has the grease dried up or turned into a paste effectively glueing the crank to the BB? The BB was replaced a week before Joberg2C so it is just over a month old. Does anyone have some tips or tricks I can try to get the crank out?

  25. Hi All, I fitted a set of Specialized Turbo Pro 25c tyres to my bike at the beginning of November. This week I noticed lines running along the circumference of the rear tyre. Please see attached pic. Seems to me like some sort of separation between two different tread compounds. The tyres have done somewhere between 1000-1500km. The rear is beginning to square off as they normally do, although not normally at this low mileage. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? What sort of mileage are others getting from these specific tyres?
