  2. Stage 9 of the Tour de France took riders into Andorra and it was Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin) who took the stage spoils from a large breakaway. Rui Costa (Lampre-Merida) finished 2nd and Rafal Majka (Tinkoff) took 3rd on the stage. Click here to view the article

  5. Ryan Gibbons from Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka won the 2017 Tour de Langkawi overall, making it the 3rd win in a row for our African Team at the Malaysian UCI 2.HC event. Mekseb Debesay and Ben O'Connor also finished in the top 10 overall while Gibbons secured the teal sprinters jersey to make it a phenomenal week of racing for our African Team.   6. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka's purple patch at the Tour de Langkawi continued as Ryan Gibbons sprinted to victory during today's 5th stage. Jakub Mareczko (Willier) finished in 2nd place and Travis McCabe (United Healthcare) was 3rd. Click here to view the article
  7. It was a small group sprint that decided stage 2 of the Tour de Langkawi and Travis McCabe (United Healthcare) came out on top. Fillipo Pozzato (Willier) was 2nd and our young South African sprinter, Ryan Gibbons placed 3rd. Gibbons also moved into the overall race lead thanks to the time bonuses won yesterday and today.   8. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka were on song during stage 1 of the Abu Dhabi Tour as a perfect leadout from the African Team delivered Mark Cavendish to victory. The minor podium placings went to Andre Greipel (Lotto-Soudal) and Niccolo Bonifazio (Bahrain-Merida) respectively. As the feeder team to our World Tour outfit, the continental team will see 6 new African riders join the squad which will race a predominantly European calendar once again.   12. The 2016 cycling season concluded a couple of weeks ago and once again it has been an incredibly successful one for Africa’s leading professional cycling team. Based out of Johannesburg, Dimension Data for Qhubeka managed to win 32 races this year, while climbing the podium more than 70 times. 5 stage wins, a "Yellow“ and "Green Jersey“ at the Tour de France was also among the achievements as was the team’s first ever win in a special category at a Grand Tour, taking home the "Best Climber“ classification of the Vuelta a Espana. While the European professional season may have ended a few weeks ago, on Sunday one of the most important races on the African cycling calendar gets underway in the form of the 8th Tour du Rwanda. Our African Team has a long history with the UCI 2.2 event and we are delighted to be able to send our Dimension Data for Qhubeka Continental team to the event this year.   20. Zwift’s association with Team Dimension Data and Qhubeka has developed further in 2016, starting with an innovative fundraising campaign inside Zwift’s 3D cycling environment. Starting Tuesday 19 July, Zwift users can unlock the Team Dimension Data training kit and a Qhubeka branded Cervelo S5 bike for their in-game avatars, to show support for Qhubeka’s mission of mobilising the rural communities of South Africa through the #powerofbicycles.   25. Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka will return to the Tour de France after a successful premiere 12 months ago, setting another massive milestone for African cycling.
