    Hi all, I'm a youngster that's currently riding a Scott Aspect 910 29er medium frame, I've outgrown it and I'm looking to upgrade to a large frame dual suspension bike that won't break the bank. There's currently a very good offer on the Titan Racing Cypher 120 Sport on cycle lab, I've attached the link below, but I'm looking for some guidance regarding the microshift advent drivetrain and components...     Hiya Really keen on their new Valerian. Touted as an aero & climbing/race bike all in one. Seems to be superb value. Especially the one on Cyclelabs recent sale. The Elite. Disc, Sram rival, carbon wheels. Retails at r53k. On sale at 35 grand. 18k off. I called Titan. They based in Stellies. They're making their own moulds now. Claims this model should be around 4 years at least. Bike looks awesome. And I'd like to support local. Just no solid reviews yet. And worried that it may look fast but without the R&D budget of the big guns, it may not be all that good on the road. I'm just a medium level rider, not a racer. 45 y.o. but getting more serious and wanting to get into the peloton riding in the races (the relatively slower ones for now - sub 330) Would really appreciate any comments/insights.

    Has anyone tried an el cheapo e-bike commuter for shorter (<15km) commutes? I can potentially bike commute using backroads, but don't want to pay a motorcycle's price for a "help-my-trap". These ones seem very cheap: https://www.takealot.com/citi-traveler-e-bike/PLID72153273 And then these also exist https://www.decathlon.co.za/city-bike-riding/300606-23123-elops-920-e-high-frame-electric-city-bike.html I like the idea because it can potentially get me to and from work in the same time as full traffic car commute, it feels more environmentally friendly than the 8km/L of my vintage SUV, and the watts will reduce the sweat, hopefully negating the need for a shower. I'd use my bicycle but then I have to arrange changehouse logistics and ebike feels like less admin.

    So I see Titan Racing has just released what looks like a new aero road bike, the Vanquish (Comp) 2021: Its available at BikeAddict and CycleLab, for R32k and R34k respectively (though the Reynolds deep section carbons are a mistake, I think? Not at that price) Its not even on the Titan website yet. Oops, here it is.

    Hello all, I'm new to cycling, recently bitten by the bug. I Currently have a RC3000 roadbike but would like to get something more versatile, but not as limited (in terms of road usage) as a MBT. So I decided on a gravel bike. After some consideration I decided on the 20k range, and after more research I decided on this new bike brought out by Titan, the Switch : https://www.titanracingbikes.com/product/switch-elite/ The specs are very decent, as well as the weight (10.1 kilos for a large frame). But I have been warned about buying "cheap carbon" (and 22k is pretty cheap for a new carbon bike). Also, because of the new-ness of the bike I can't find anything in terms of reviews. So, I was wondering if there are any informed opinions around here, or perhaps someone who has bought the bike, or knows someone who has... Greetings from Potchefstroom (NWU student).

I would like to give credit where credit is due, so Titan Racing ......very well done for improving the brand! Watch out world!

    Hey guys - I'm currently looking at getting myself a titan cypher, carbon, and the 2021 comp seems to be the way to go. At 49.5k from bikehub, it's sitting perfectly in my price range. My aim is to use this bike over the next few years for Freedom Challenge, Munga, Trans Baviaans etc, big, long races. However, I wanted to find out what it weighs, and I've had no luck with this online - anyone here with experience with this bike specifically? It's the black, grey and orange one with the Marzocchi fork. My other option was the 2021 Canyon Lux CF 6 - a little less travel, and a bit more cash (54.5k) but it's sitting at a very attractive 12.11 kgs as listed on the site. Thoughts? Thanks!

The guy paid with a fake proof of payment. He bought it under the name Emmanual Sekhula (possibly fake name) If you see this bike anywhere please let us know. So I need some feedback from you blokes on the bikes, and which one you would buy or what you would rather look at for around the same price...     Hi Guys! My wife and an old friend have recently hornswoggled me into getting on a bike for the first time in 15 years by entering me in the Jacaranda Off the Beaten Track race. To see if I could still sit a saddle we borrowed an old 21 speed Nishiki and went for the 17km MTB trail at Red Barn in Centurion. At 15.7km I promptly came off and tore a nice gash in my forearm. Some twisted handle bars and a short ER trip later I was in such a good mood you'd swear I'd won something. The race came and went and long story short (well, not that short) I'm looking to buy a Mountain Bike. If you have any views on any of the above bikes I'd really appreciate your input.

    Hi All, So I'm considering getting a beginner mountain bike with a max budget of around 4k I have done some research and came up with 3 options: 1. Silverback Stride 10: Is this bike still available and relevant as a beginner bike in 2016-2017? I can't seem to find anywhere online stocking it, and most 2nd hand deals are medium frame (I'm XL) I'm guessing the price is 4-4.5k? 2. Titan Nova 26: I can't find any information on whether or not this is a good bike, it's definitely the best looking Retails for R4.5k 3. Raleigh Nomad 10 (second hand): My colleague has offered to let his 2011 Raleigh Nomad 10 go for R3k, is this a good deal? It is also a medium frame and I need a XL Which would you rather take and why? I am leaning toward the Titan Nova 26 I basically want a bike that I can take out cycling on the road (if I want to), however would also like something that is capable of entering a comp if I really wanted to? I'm looking for versatility Can anyone advise on what sort of gear I would need to look at too? Nick

    Hi there - quite new to the addictive MTB sport and looking at a decent entry level bike for around 5-6k. I have seen some decent well specced Titan Sports, Giant Revels and Axis A60's, but having difficulty on choosing. Is there a sort of ranking sheet i can refer to, lol? I am about 1.74m , weighing around 90kgs and looking for something smooth, strong and fast. I dont intend becoming an avid trail rider, but possibly looking at the light trails now and then. will propably do more Beach, recreational pavement riding. in addition, what do you reckon is my frame size? i would think medium based on the chart sizing guides. What are your thoughts?

    Which Bike is a good buy for my Daugter that is Turning 8 in August. Was looking at the Momsen JR20. Looks like decent bike and does not seem to heavy. Also seen there is Titan , Avalanche etc. Any advice would be appreciated as well as best place to buy from. I am in Hillcrest, KZN

    Hi! Guys So I just want your honest opinions regarding the purchase of a new Titan Elite 29er? I've been looking to buy a bike on the hub for the past 3-4 months and only now I'm ready to actually buy the bike. This would be my 1st bike purchase and have been reading a lot lately about entry level bikes. Seeing that Bicycling recently reviewed a few race ready bikes where the Titan came up top, I came across a good deal IMO. I can get a brand new Titan Elite 29er with tubeless conversion (and bottle cage ) for R13500. It is a bit above my budget but I think for the components this bike has in comparison with any other new bike out there, the price is difficult to beat. I also want to support my LBS and build a good relationship for the future riding to come.
