  1. Dirtopia hosted their last enduro of the year at Delheim with the stages winding through the trails of the Simonsberg Conservancy. Gert Heyns walked away with the win in the men's race while Rika Olivier took the honours in the women's event. Photos by Chris Hitchcock. Click here to view the article
  2. The first edition of the Western Province Gravity Enduro Championships took place this past Sunday at the scenic Contermanskloof MTB Trails. With the trails still surrounded by green fields and colorful fynbos, the high speed, rough and technical terrain was a welcome change from the previous races. The field of 96 riders faced 4 stages - the 3 usual suspects and a mystery 1.4km long stage on Hillcrest thrown in for good measure. All the elements for a great race were in place - a well marked course, good weather, plenty of riders and of course, free beer afterwards. Click here to view the article
  3. Hi All. If you're looking for some amazing Gravity orientated, vehicle assisted riding this may be the trip for you. http://www.detourtrails.co.za/rad-rides-all-mountain-tours/ The trails are stupidly good and are some of the best anywhere. Sections will technically challenge the most skilled rider but your average "enduro" rider will be right at home and have a great time. Check the website for details or check the previous discussion in this forum from one of the scouting trips: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/137578-lesotho-all-mountain-weekend/?hl=lesotho See you on the hill.

  5. The final round of the Enduro World Series was a suitably dramatic ending to a season that encompassed eight rounds across eight countries and three continents. On the shores of the Mediterranean in Finale’s famous town square, Richie Rude and Tracy Moseley were named as the 2015 Enduro World Champions. And it was in the same setting that Fabien Barel and Tracy announced they would be hanging up their helmets and retiring from racing. Click here to view the article
  6. Round Seven of the Enduro World Series, The Specialized Opel Enduro Festival Zona Zero in Spain, was always destined to enter the history books. Click here to view the article
  7. To all Enduro, Downhill and Trail riders out there: We have built some amazing trails in the Agatha forest in Tzaneen (Limpopo). Many different lines and obstacles for everyone to test their skills. The trails can be enjoyed with anything from a hardtail (B-lines are present where needed) to a full-on DH rig! At the moment, we can have 2 special stages of +/- 4 minutes each. A few parts will be common to both, but they will be mostly different. We are planning to hold an Enduro event this year, having 2 runs on each stage and using all 4 times to determine the winner. It will take place on the week-end of the 20-21 June. Practice Saturday 20/06 P.M and racing Sunday 21/06. More to follow!!!

  12. There was heartbreak and elation in equal measure at a dramatic round 6 of the Enduro World Series in Whistler. There were some new faces on the podium and some familiar grimaces as mechanicals once again changed the fate of a Whistler race. Click here to view the article
  13. Kicking off the first North American round of the 2015 Enduro World Series, Crested Butte Colorado is perhaps the perfect venue, and certainly the epitome of mountain biking. With a population a little shy of 1500 people, the former coal mining town that is often referred to as the "last great Colorado ski town", is an absolute gem. Magnificent scenery and expanses spread out in every direction showcasing some of Colorado's most incredible visual offerings. Click here to view the article
  14. The start of the Enduro World Series: 6 Months, 8 Races, 3 Continents. Curtis and Team are in the Southern Hemisphere competing in the first stop in Rotorua, New Zealand. It’s time for the Team to put all the training and planning to the test. But what do you do if it doesn’t go according to plan? How do you turn it around? For Curtis this means going back to where his Enduro Racing career began: Prescott Arizona. Click here to view the article

  16. A long awaited and welcome return for the SRAM WP Gravity Enduro series, saw round one take place at the popular Helderberg Trails, just outside Somerset West. With some good rain a few days prior, and a fair amount of sunshine in between, the soil was perfectly tacky and conditions were great all round for racing. A very crisp and cloudless morning meant riders wrapped up with long sleeves and other warm gear, but the long and steep 5.5km climb up liaison 1 quickly heated things up. 17. On the 6th and 7th June Enduro and DH riders descended upon Cascades Mountain Bike Park in Pietermaritzburg for the 2015 KZNMTB Regional Championships presented by NMI-DSM. The event brings to a close a highly successful 2015 race season, with a 3 round series and 1 championship event hosted at bike parks around the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The venue is well known to most riders having hosted 4 World Cups and 1 World Championship, and again did not disappoint, with steep and technical, as well as physically demanding trails awaiting the riders. Mid-winter in South Africa meant crisp cold mornings, but no rain for weeks before the event leaving the tracks dry and dusty ready to powder up during racing. Click here to view the article

The 15.8km route was broken up into 4 timed special stages and 4 non timed Liaisons. Unlike last year the organisers decided to combine SS2 and SS3 together to help the flow of the course and create a stage with contrasting features from technical rocky tight sections to hard pack flowy singletrack with jumps and berms near the bottom.
