  2. I bought a Specialized Roubaix SL4 Sport through the classifieds (not disk brakes). I want to give road cycling a go. The bike is very cool. It's pretty, unbelievably light (especially compared to my Camber). I'm investigating putting gravel wheels/tyres onto it. There are a few fun back roads near Durbanville including lots of gravel to explore. It's probably not possible to install gravel tyres/wheels, there's very little clearance between the front fork and the current tyre (enough for a finger). Does anyone have any experience or advice for putting gravel wheels onto a Roubaix SL4 ? Unreasonable ? Buy a Diverge ? Stick to your MTB ? Thanks

  5. With the Cape Town Cycle Tour looming, we have been giving our road bikes some love, and have taken the opportunity to test a range of road tyres from Specialized. We tested the Turbo Pro, Turbo Cotton, Roubaix Pro and All Condition Armadillo Elite tyres, each of which offer unique performance properties, to determine how best to kit out our road bikes for the type of riding we enjoy. 6. Why would you want to buy a Specialized Roubaix in South Africa if we don't have rough road routes like in the Paris Roubaix? Surely this bicycle has other properties besides being made for cobblestones? Has anyone got such a bike? How comfortable is it over long distance? How does it climb?
  7. Hey guys, The tyre I dream of : Specialized Roubaix Armadillo Elites 25mm The reality : S.A don't bring it in... Has anyone here imported tyres ?? If so what is the import duty & surcharge ?? And what is this LBS tell me that the market for 25 mm is small ... The worlds moving over to 25mm and SA is behind ? Why doesn't specialized bring in Roubaix Armadillo ? SA doesn't have the best roads.. How can this not be an option XD Anyway if you guys have any experience with importing tyres please let me know!!!
