  1. Anybody cycled to Kubu Island on Sowa Pan? Intend to drive up to Mmatshumo then start from somewhere past that. Any tips advice appreciated.
  2. Good day, So I have entered the 2015 Amashova cycle challenge. Unfortunately I cannot go alone due to financial difficulties. So, what I need is a travel partner. I do not pay for patrol or toll gates, so that is covered. I basically need some one that will help with "padkos" and accommodation. I will go down on the Saturday and come back on the Monday. I can tow a bike tailor if needed, but also have a bike rack that can take 3 bikes. The arrangements for the accommodation will be the responsibility of whoever decides to be riding shotgun. Please let me know if your are interested in tagging along. thanks
  3. Hi Guys I need to leave Cape Town in one month and would need a bike case / luggage to bring my road bike in Italy. Can you please suggest me a good hard case and where I could buy it? I travel a lot so I'd prefer to buy a good one that is comfortable and going to last long time Thanks a lot
  4. It’s hard doing a review on a second hand bike. You don’t know it’s history, and particularly with this one, I don’t even know its age. But this is a special review, something different, something sentimental. This is my first Beijing bike. And my girlfriend bought it for me. Click here to view the article
  5. Hi, Was wondering it it is possible to convert a 2013 90mm Lefty (New Lefty PBR 90 29) to a 100mm Lefty? From what I can tell the upper air seal is limiting the travel. Don't know why though? For geometry purposes maybe?
  6. From Ibis: http://www.ibiscycle...bikes/tranny29/ At Ibis we try to make bikes that are versatile, bikes that blur the lines between categories, bikes that create fun in a multitude of settings. That’s what it’s all about, right, having fun? Bikes don’t get a lot more versatile (or fun) than the Tranny 29. WHAT IS A TRANNY? First, it’s a lightweight, nimble 29er hard tail. It also converts to a single speed with surprising ease. And in single speed guise, you can run a smooth and quiet running Gates Carbon Belt Drive. Finally, it’s easy to break apart for travel if you need to fit it into a confined space (like a suitcase or an apartment in New York City). The Tranny is a playful bike. The stock setup comes with a 100mm travel front fork, giving the bike a super lively feel (yes, we said lively 29er). A 120mm fork option is available, which mimics the Ripley’s highly regarded front end geometry, only with a lower bottom bracket height and the confident handling that inspires. Here are a few of the features, and check out the details tab for a lot more information. FEATURES OF THE TRANNY 29 3.08 lb Carbon monocoque frame Designed to work with 100mm suspension forks at 44mm rake Also designed to work with 120 mm forks with 51mm rake Geared or Singlespeed compatible Gates Carbon Belt Drive compatible Internal routing for dropper posts Clean, versatile multi-option internal cable routing Tapered head tube (suitable for various Cane Creeks & Chris King InSet 3) BB92/Press GXP style integrated BB 142mm Maxle rear axle 160mm carbon fiber post mount rear brake mounts Headset: IS ZS44/28.6 | EC49/40 BB height w/ 2.25" tires: 302mm (11.9”) Geometry measured with 500.8mm axle to crown fork http://www.ibiscycles.com/images/uploads/bikeGallery/14-0612-Ibis-Tranny-29-Hero-2-Overall.jpg http://www.ibiscycles.com/images/uploads/bikeGallery/14-0612-Ibis-Tranny-29-Hero-1-Drk.jpg http://www.ibiscycles.com/images/uploads/bikeGallery/14-0611-Ibis-Tranny-Belt-Drive.jpg http://www.ibiscycles.com/images/uploads/bikeGallery/14-0611-Ibis-Tranny-Cable-exit-for-dropper-seat-post.jpg http://www.ibiscycles.com/images/uploads/bikeGallery/14-0611-Ibis-Tranny-Head-tube-top-tube.jpg
  7. Having been in Beijing for about 2 months I have learned a lot about what biking can be like in a city. Here it’s a chaos that you couldn’t imagine until you experience it. And for everyone who is involved in the fight between bikes and cars, it is a perfect place to get some perspective. Click here to view the article
  8. Hi guys, Been riding jonkers pretty often with huge success on my stumpy. Just doing some digging and am trying to find out how much larger one could go on the stumpy fsr travel wise? The standard Revelation does the job well however in the near future I will be looking into more travel for my stumpy. Any forks worth looking at now? Dawels
