  5. Construction of the Coetzenburg cross-country course in Stellenbosch started on 25 March 2015. Bennet Nel and his team at Ace of Spades have been tasked with the track building. Swiss hopes of victory on home soil were dashed on Sunday, at Round 3 of the Cross-country series of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup presented by Shimano in Lenzerheide, when Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Multivan Merida) and Jaroslav Kulhavy (Specialized) took wins in the Elite women and men categories. Jolanda Neff (Stoeckli) continues to lead the women's overall standings, tied on points with Dahle Flesjaa, while Kulhavy regains the men's lead with his second win of the series. The Nove Mesto event, awarded the title of best cross-country World Cup multiple times, is the fitting place to launch the 25th season of the cross-country World Cup series.   25. The location of the 1st round of the XCO Cup Series 2015 on 28 February is slam-bam in the middle of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. You’d be forgiven to think serious compromises were made to have this UCI Category 1 course in such a prime location, however at 4.7km and 170m total ascent and with some gnarly natural obstacles in place, the course is capable of delivering some big blows come race day.
