  1. Are there any distributors of BMX racing bikes and parts in South Africa? I know Omnico sometimes has some bits, but does anyone else sell a complete range of bikes and spares? Rims, brakes, bars, forks, tyres, tubes, helmets, etc. Or is the market too small and everyone buys directly from overseas?
  2. Hi Guys So I'm looking for downhill helmets for my 2 boys. I was specifically looking at the O'neal helmets as they have those easy snap fasteners that work with magnets, and of course GM rides with them. These will be used for BMX racing. I'm just fed up with the heavy MX helmets that are available to us here in Jo'burg. My one boy currently rides with a 100% Aircraft but even these aren't available in SA anymore and he cracked his peak a couple weeks ago. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Mark
  3. No one riding BMX anymore???
  4. Looking for things to do with the kids over the long weekend? Visit the new Bike Park at Hazendal, with a pump track, skills trail, y-bike track, flow trail and 5km cross-country trail there is something for everyone, even Mum! The kids will love you for it - it may just end up as their favourite place to be! Make a day of it, bring a picnic* (*own picnics allowed until the new facilities open in October). https://www.facebook.com/hazendalwine/videos/10156304709276119/?t=37

  6. The world's best MTB & BMX riders made their way to Cape Town for Africa's biggest dirt jump competition, The Night Harvest. 7. Are there any good places to buy a new BMX in SA? Looking for brands like wethepeople, Cult or Jet but also open to other recomendations. It won't be for racing, but still looking for something reasonably light to cruise the street and maybe with pegs as well. Something like this: https://www.sourcebmx.com/en/Jet-BMX-Jet-Generate-BMX-Bike/m-32332.aspx

  10. Rules are not what BMX is about. And, when you begin to subscribe to an idea that you’re supposed to do this or that while riding your bike, you’re missing the whole idea...taking a kicker ramp into the streets is a taboo in the world of BMX, but that’s exactly the point. Already at 10am there was a posse 50 deep playing a game of bike and entertaining themselves on the various jibs that the meet up spot had to offer.
