  1. I don't think this happens enough but I just wanted to relate a situation that happened to me on Saturday morning in the Cradle. During my weekly ride on Saturday morning I noticed again the increase of security companies in the area, thinking nothing more of it I continued my ride. But unfortunately i had mechanical failure, and three tubes and three bombs latter I kept bursting the tubes in the tire, (thank you to the gentleman in the Cows kit for handing over a tube to try and assist me but to no avail) This is when firstly the Club 100 truck stopped to assist with a pump and the Thompson security bakkie stopped to assist and stand with me to ensure I was not left alone while trying in vain to repair my Tyre. when we realized it would not hold the Thompson security personnel offered to load my bike and drive me back to may car. On the ride we passed another group of riders who had a similar puncture/ no tube problem, and they stopped again to assist and stay with them until there help arrived. Not once did i feel unsafe and the friendly staff made my shortened ride end on a hugely positive note. So I would like to first thank the riders that stopped to assist, then the Club 100 team car for assisting with a track pump, rather than a hand pump, and lastly the Thompson security team for making all of us feel safe and secure while doing what we love. Please note you are all seen and valued in all that you do. Dayne
