  1. I recently launched The Free Cycling Movement. The objective is to curate a diverse collection of short / shortish family-friendly cycling routes (called tours on the Komoot App), primarily designed for off-road adventures. These tour routes are accessible to all, without the encumbrance of trail access fees and documented on the popular Komoot App. Times are tough and sharing is caring. Spread the love, please suggest additional free South African tours for others to enjoy. (GPX files) Some of the tours already uploaded can be viewed here: https://www.komoot.com/user/926458051222?ref=wud WhatsApp chat group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/F53kxqT9YYL6bfrvFw6EZo
  2. Last nite, I parked in the last available parking bay, next to this interesting work-station, some of you may well know about it, but it was 1st for me...! Pictures are self-evident, but basically tools attached to a central work station, with ARMS to place the bike upon (off the ground, for ease-of-servicing), else the cables are plenty long enough to reach a bike or two, even if they are a few feet away from the station... the service-station uses PARK tools, so that's good, floor-bolted track-style pump, basically, SUPER innovative, and gave me a smile! Anyone know where any OTHERS are located; could be useful to know? THIS one is at Ladies Mile, in the new Checkers/Woolworths parking lot, in the South-West corner. (and lockable bike racks right next to it) Cheers Chris
  3. Hey Guys, I have some stuff I want to get rid of, to further embrace minimalism. Stuff: Bar Ends, SPD Pedals (Need service), Helmet. I could post an ad for these things but it's a lot of admin to share contact details with someone and all that, so what I'm after is a LBS in Pretoria, or some sort of project where you can donate unwanted and unused bike gear. There must be some sort of place that helps get people pedalling? Any recommendations?

  5. I am busy with my Bachelor Thesis on the marketing of MTB events and trails on social media. I am busy with my research now and need mtb cyclists, preferably ones who know of the Lebanon MTB trails in the Elgin Valley (Grabouw), to help me out! I am a little desperate. I need 150 participants for my research to pass for my bachelors of Communications. I hope some of you guys will take the time to fill out my questionnaire. If you are so kind to start, please complete it, otherwise the results will be useless to me. Thanks in advance! Not sure this was the right place to post this, but as I said I am rather desperate at this point. We are picking one participant at random to win a free Family membership for one year to the Lebanon trails mentioned before!
