Bon Scott, acdc front man for seven years, not exactly legend timeframe either.

Had to google him, never even heard of him, ha ha, apologies to any fans.

Personal taste perhaps ?

Surely Cobain wasn't around long enough to be a legend? A few albums then boom! Am I missing something here?

On the contrary, if he made such an impact in such a short period, its all the more legendary.

Bleach to In Utero was only 4 years. Holy cow, now that I say it like that!!

Pretty much every artist since, influenced by Nirvana..

They did to grunge what other bands had been trying to do for years before!

Hairy, you made my day with the above 2 posts.

That is real old world craftsmanship, and now, very sadly, rarely found. Purdey, Holland, Arietta (in Spain), are perhaps the last ones left of a 2 hundred year old tradition of excellence that reached its' zenith in the 1920s to the 1940s. Very few of these things are still built entirely by hand and the machine made ones simply do not have that little bit of soul that a real human maker imparts to the final product.

Hell, I'm getting all lyrical, better stop before I start getting tearful. ;)
