welcome back Zoo Cookie. Nice bike. Where are the pics of the road bike ? And how come no couch?

Hubby spoiled me with this beautiful Trek after my trusty old plaashek Merida 26"hardtail got stolen (now, that is what you call an upgrade)[emoji16]

Road bike is still in storage. May come out for Panorama tour next month.

Forgot all about the couch.

Were you riding Buffelsdrift on Saturday by any chance...?

Think I saw you guys riding.

Welcome (back)!

We go to Buffelsdrif often, but was there with the fatbikes maybe 3 weeks ago.

But thank you.

Hi all.

Been using BikeHub for many years as private individual, but now started small SA bike building company based in Hermanus doing custom builds.

New account for BikeHub to actively engage with and be part of the SA cycling community.

Looking forward to no doubt very productive and informative chatter.

Thanks all.

Hi

I commute by bike a few times a week.

On Saturdays I like to do a short trail with the little one, Maritz.  Thus far we have done Hazendal a few times.

Trying to find an event with a 4 or 5km short ride to introduce him to the sport.

PS - same ChrisF as from a few other outdoor forums.  Sure I will see some of the same members on this side.

Thanks

We are doing the Tread Lightly on 8 April - 4km.

Been at Meerendal the last two Saturdays.  Comfortable that Maritz will easily do the short ride.

He has the stamina.  But the legs and gearing is just not up for longer steep climbs, not yet .... but getting better with each ride.  Took him up Meerendal on Saturday and we looked at the longer ride ... he WANTS to do it, but knows he needs a bit more practice (actually I need some practice and will then tackle this one myself - my personal goal after almost 15 years of bikes ...)

On the weekend of 22 April we will be away, bikes going with  :)
