Stevief Posted June 14, 2011 Share Was watching the downhill worldcup and noticed that none of the guys use a 29er on a dh bike. Now everyone and there dog has been carrying on and on about 29 inch tyres are the best thing for downhill yet the DH kings dont touch them why is this??????????? Kranswurm Posted June 14, 2011 Share Well this is the bike I am drooling over at the moment. If I have the courage to ride it to its full potential.I cannot quite see a 29er beach cruiser out performing this
DownhillingKing Posted June 14, 2011 Share 1. Acceleration is better with 26"2. Bike is allot easier to control3. Smaller wheels = less rotational mass when at high speeds4. bigger wheels are weak!!!5. higher BB to still accommodate for 200mm travel, really bad for cornering.6. steep head angle on 29" frames again not the greatest for cornering and jumping through rock gardens. 26" is a win!!! shaper

Guest Posted June 14, 2011 Share Cause 29ers are for learners, the 29er had been designed so that even your Parkinson's suffering Grandma ca have a go.
