Beer4Recovery Posted June 15, 2011 Share Hi Guys, Is there anyone out there who rides a Fuel EX? I'm seriously considering getting one but is a bit skeptical on the sizes. The one i want is a 21"(XL) (there aren't any 19"'s) and I am 1.85m in length. According to the table below I am bordering between 2 sizes. Would the 21" (XL)frame be too big for me? Please help!!! Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted June 15, 2011 Share Hmmm... Hard to tell, because you might have gorrilla-like arms, which would suit a longer top-tube, but then again you might have short arms and torso, in which case it wouldn't. I remember riding my mate's medium EX7 and thinking that I'd need at least 2 sizes bigger. And I'm 1.83m tall. So yeah, the 21 sounds right for you. Just ride it though. If it's not for you, you'll know very quickly.
AndreZA Posted June 15, 2011 Share Go and sit on the bike and feel how it feels. If you've got a short torso then the 21" will be too long.
splat Posted June 15, 2011 Share If you are buying from CycleLab, they should be able to measure you up and suggest the correct frame.Isnt a proper bike fit part of the deal?

Hey Def I have riden an EX8 for the last 2 years and I love it. You wont be sorry bru. I am 1.78 tall and bought a virtual 17.5. At the time the bikes came with a virtual and real size which was a bit confusing and I really stressed about what size to get and read opinions from ous all over that varied. In the end I got smaller of the 2 mediums, changed the headtube height and put on a layback seat post, and its been the bomb. Done me proud for 2 years and going strong. Been meaning to cut the bars a bit narrower but havent done that yet. Good luck.
Beer4Recovery Posted June 17, 2011 Share so i got myself the 2011 EX7 yesterday!! my first dual suspension bike I went for the 21.5" frame, one thing i will do is cut the handlebars a bit shorter, otherwise the bike fits me great. Thanks for the advice! Edited June 17, 2011 by deftone
