BigTom Posted June 19, 2011 Share Does anyone know if you can mix and match Shimano Octalink V1 and V2 parts? I've got an old XTR crankset I want to put on an old school rebuild that I am doing. However the BB that it came with is for 68mm bottom bracket width and I need one for a 73mm bottom bracket width. The XTR cranks use V1 octalink bb, but they seem very hard to find, or very expensive if you do find one. The V2 octalink bb's seem much more readily available.
