Dustystrings Posted June 22, 2011 Share Hi All I have just gotten back on my bikes after about a 8 year break. I used to ride in Johannesburg and had a local bike store that met all my needs. I now live in Cape Town and need to find a good bike store. Ideas on the best bike store in Cape Town? Friendly, value for money, parts, service. wolf182 Posted June 22, 2011 Share I support various bike shops in the Southern Suburbs, but Crown Cycles has my vote.Good service, friendly, efficient, all year round bargain table.Often helped me out last minute before rides or racing.
Dustystrings Posted June 22, 2011 Share where in CT? Well I live in Tamboerskloof so preferably somewhere not too far away. Having said that, if its a really good store i'd be willing to travel further!

Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted June 22, 2011 Share Revolution are fantastic for guys in town, as are Action cycles. Constantia side, there is Epic Bike Shop. You can't go wrong there (if you're looking for MTB, that is!)

Christopher Brunsdon Posted June 22, 2011 Share Happened to walk into Action Cycles today for the first time (was in the area and had 5 minutes to kill) and really nice store. Guys where super friendly. Don't forget CWC for great specials
DJR Posted June 23, 2011 Share Action Cycles in town, they are the only LBS EVER to service my Mtb properly.Olympic Cycles in Claremont for their range of goodies to brouse and buy.

Revolution Cycles on Bree Street is your closest shop.John O Connor Cycles down in Mouille Point is just wall to wall bike porn. I needed a cold shower after my visit yesterday. Crown Cycles in Claremont deserves a mention too.Not the biggest stock, but good pricing and great service. Marc is a good mechanic too. BMC in Salt River is highly recommendable. They are not a bike shop, but do bike maintenance only. Edited June 23, 2011 by splat
Schnavel Posted June 23, 2011 Share + 3 for Crown Cycles! Had fantastic service there and the guys are always willing to help out! Whatever you do, stay far away from Bowmen Cycles near Revolution Cycles! The service is shocking, and the workshop did such a bad job on my bike, I walked out of the store refusing to pay, and they knew that would be the case.
