Christie Posted June 29, 2011 Share Two very contrasting frames, both with very destinctive looks: First up, the Cervelo S5. The frame looks very unconventional, like a road going P3. Cervelo have been one of the leading innovaters as far as frame design goes, and I'm sure this frame will be at the cutting edge of aerodynamics and structural engineering and materialshttp://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2011/06/29/1309338030352-15opnvvu203vc-670-75.jpg Next up is the Pinarello Dogma2. It looks similar to the Dogma1, with less paint on the outside. The akward lip on the head tube have been removed, and the fork to frame junktion smoothed, which improves the looks imo. 2 things I wonder about:Will it cost more than Dogma1?How much lighter will it be? http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2011/06/28/1309254728224-1702my2tw6nyq-670-75.jpg Edited June 30, 2011 by Christie
Christie Posted June 29, 2011 Share Specialized SL4: 50grams lighter than the SL3, it borrows some features from the Roubaix, like the hour glass head tube shape. The Venge seems to have been designed for specialist sprinters, and the SL4 more for general racing. It also has hollow drop-outs like the new Cannondale Super6. http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2011/06/23/1308843446888-ms8egh9k7wpv-500-90-500-70.jpg

AndreZA Posted June 30, 2011 Share Oi, that Cervelo looks k@k. Looks like it is not finish. The fork and seat stays look out of proportion and at that size the head tube is way to big.
TNT1 Posted June 30, 2011 Share Oi, that Cervelo looks k@k. Looks like it is not finish. The fork and seat stays look out of proportion and at that size the head tube is way to big. So what you mean is that it looks like every cervelo ever made
banna Posted June 30, 2011 Share Oi, that Cervelo looks k@k. Looks like it is not finish. The fork and seat stays look out of proportion and at that size the head tube is way to big. And if that's not bad enough, it's also missing front and rear suspension and a set of knobblies.
Christie Posted June 30, 2011 Share The Cervelo won't win any beauty competitions, that's for sure! But it my be the perfect bike for TTs where standard road bikes must be used - like some tri-athlons etc.

Mr LOOK Posted June 30, 2011 Share The King of the Mountains for 2011's Bike? Also very interesting that the the fastest bike split at the Ironman in Nice was done on a LOOK 695. Watch out for this baby in a lot of breaks at the TDF. Edited June 30, 2011 by Mr LOOK
Big JD Posted June 30, 2011 Share The LOOK really is gorgeous but they have to sort out that Fugly stem... Have to agree with the boys that the Cervelo is one ugly looking bike. Although their design is problably moving technologically forward, in terms of design they seem to have lost the plot after the goregeous 2008/9 R3 SL. IMHO the Pinarello Dogma connot be beaten on looks. That is one sexy bike!
