nigelhicks Posted June 30, 2011 Share sorry its called the Trek 9.9 .... not the session
Capricorn Posted June 30, 2011 Share there was a photo floating around about a month or two ago, with what looked like a trek session 88 that what seemed to have an even more massive downtube, as if that's possible to begin with.. Either way, the rumor at the time was it's a carbon rendition of the 88. Will be interesting to see what the spy shots reveal.
MXkid77 Posted June 30, 2011 Share Here's a very spy shot. http://www.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/Carbon-Trek-Session-DH-Bike,2517/Spy-Shot-Carbon-Trek-Session-DH-Bike,22816/bturman,109 Edited June 30, 2011 by MXkid77

RodTi Posted July 5, 2011 Share What would that weigh? [insert thumbsuck here]
Capricorn Posted July 5, 2011 Share RodTi: word floating around was the weight is around 35lbs, which is about 15.8xkg.. not very different from the alu version of the 88. First the GT Fury, then SC V10, now Trek session. wonder who else is on the Me-Too wagon. Spesh demo C? Intense M9c? RodTi Posted July 5, 2011 Share RodTi: word floating around was around 35lbs, which is about 15.8xkg.. Thanks Capricorn - just saw that as well. For the non-DH brigade - is that light? What is the ball-park weight for a comparable top-end Alu DH rig?
nigelhicks Posted July 5, 2011 Share Thanks Capricorn - just saw that as well. For the non-DH brigade - is that light? What is the ball-park weight for a comparable top-end Alu DH rig? yeah thats light .... most off-the-shelf rigs are between 18 and 20kg ... most World Cup DH rigs are between 16 - 18kg with ALL the trick components etc. So a sub-16kg bike is INSANE! Nikolais Posted July 7, 2011 Share More pics, looks so clean...Fork bumper/Cable router is neat, even if some say it is ripped of the Evil Undead. Trek DH rigs are rather nice, but this certainly takes the cake. The TWR colour scheme has to be one of my favorite on any bike on the World Cup circuit. This matched with their kit makes for an amazingly striking, yet neat, package. Edited July 7, 2011 by Nikolais
