Best 5inch travel bike?

I want to get a 5inch tavel bike and was wondering what you guys think are the best options? I would look for a used medium frame to build up over time.

I want something that’s lightish, climbs well and descends well.

My ideas so far are:

Ibis Mojo – bit pricey for me and can’t find a frame

Santa Cruz Blur LT – also pricey but looking

Morewood Shova – nice but too heavy at 3.5kg for frame and shock

Try a Stumpjumper. Now has 140mm travel and climbs well due to the Brain rear shock.

Ibis Mojo (Model dependent on q's below.)

You give very little info on which to make a recommendation. EVERYBODY wants a bike that climbs like a goat and decent like a stealth bomber.

Where do you ride?

How aggressive do you ride?

Did you know that a stumpjumper is a rubbish bike?

Do you do technical stuff like drop offs, jumps and gaps

Did you know the brain fade is very aptly named "fade" for a reason?

What do you currently ride?

If we know this we'll be able to better help.

And btw, very few of the bikes listed are 5" which equals 120mm

Where do you ride? Tokai all single, Table Mountain jeep and single, Signal Hill single, Lebanon, Oak Valley, Contermans.

How aggressive do you ride? I am safer than sorry.

Did you know that a stumpjumper is a rubbish bike? I didn’t? I owned one and enjoyed it, review say they are okay.

Do you do technical stuff like drop offs, jumps and gaps - drop offs - yes, jumps and gaps haven’t grown my balls enough yet for big stuff, but trying small jumps.

What do you currently ride? Morewood Zula

From what you say, why do you want to replace the Zula?

Is it mainly because of the over the bar issue?

Are you looking at 5 or 5.5"?

I did not realize there was such a significant difference, are they not both trail bikes?

Is it mainly because of the over the bar issue? - Yes and the fact that I’m not a XC racer, would like a more comfortable bike.

Amount of travel is just one part of it. Usually there'll be quite a difference in geo & build and therefor capability. Most 140mm bikes are quite capable AM machines
