We will be running the Single Speed KZN champs in conjunction with the KZN XC Champs. Although the brotherhood known as Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) believe that us esteemed Single Speeders are not worthy of earning rainbow stripes. We all know that every Single Speeder is a Champ in their own right and we will bring fun and flavor to the event

Who : Anybody who enjoys riding a bicycle

Equipment : Any bicycle that is adapted to use 1 gear ratio only

Categories : Yes (see bellow)

Prizes : Yes (see bellow)

Batching and seeding : Yes (see bellow)

Pictures : There had better be !

Why : Because we can !

 

As this is the first Single Speed race in KZN, the weeners will be crowned champs in their respective categories.

# Juniors boys – any boys 17yrs and younger

# Ladies – all age’s of the farer sex

# Men – everybody else (no questions asked)

Riders will be batched in one batch and seeded according to their outfit worn. The more outrageous, the better your seeding. Lycra is frowned upon, unless worn as a Super hero suit.

Non-KZN based riders may enter, however a forfeit will be incurred for your stupidity of living elsewhere.

R is for Racing snakes who will be seeded in D

(Lycra shorts and Tight cycle tops)

O is for Ordinary single speeders who will be in C

(Baggy shorts and loose tops)

A is for Adventurous single speeders who will be in B

(Super hero suits and other odd outfits)

G is for Gosh-what-are-you-wearing which will be in A .

(only one outfit - a BORATsuit)
