I FLY Posted July 2, 2011 Share My commuter route contains very little sand/gravel. As I have gone through 3 back tyres this year I was thinking about changing to Conti Town & Country tyres. Has anyone successfully run these in tubeless mode? Edited July 4, 2011 by I FLY
I FLY Posted August 16, 2011 Share Update. I fitted a set on Conti commuter tyres to my ZTR rims on Sunday and managed to get them set up in tubeless mode. Did my 1st commute this morning without hassles.
Christopher Brunsdon Posted August 17, 2011 Share I ran T&C for over a year on my commute but with tubes. I cannot see why you cannot go tubeless. Brilliant tyres and only one puncture - something punched a large hole through it, looked like a .22 shot it. Even though my tyre deflated instantly it did not come off the rim and I was able to bring my bike to safe stop (was doing 50km at the time). I no longer commute with my new job but would gladly get T&Cs again.
