Santa Cruz Blur XC Carbon

Has anybody on the hub got the new Santa Cruz Blur XC Carbon or has ridden it? The duel susp frame only weighs about 1.9kg and apparently it is super stiff and virtually unbreakable. How does it compare with Giant Anthem and the Specialized Epic etc? Will it be competitive in XC racing? Any comments?

I got one last year looks like they made a few tweaks judging by that pic.

My frame with headset and rear shock weighed 2.14kg if I remember correctly.

I have crashed mine harder than any of my aluminium bikes and its still fine

I like it and think its a good bike

Here is mine

Do the top tubes have different bends in them or is it an optical illusion?

Yes looks different but dont know what size frame that is but it takes a tapered headset now which is new

It is the best bike ever. Mine weighs in at 9,7kg complete. The best singletrack munching cross country racing beast ever.

I have the tallboy also but prefer the blur.

The tube bends more depending on what size the frame is. Friend of mine has one and she loves it.

Hmmm... definately not "unbreakable". A friend of mine cracked his frame after a few months of riding. But they are very cool bikes. I opted for a Morewood Zula instead after my friends mishap with his Blur. I still don't trust carbon frames when you're a heavier rider (i.e. me = 90kg).

This frame is for sale I'll even throw in a Reba fork with remote lockout for the same price
