I want to start inlcluding speed session on a track once or twice a week from mid to end August and was wondering if anybody knows of a track that I could go to early mornings or afternoons in the Fourways area? Sofar my thinking is Fourways High? Anybody go there or any other tracks in the area?

amongst others - looking to do interval training at a faster speed than one would normally run at.

Typical track workout I'm thinking of would be along the lines of 10x400m @ 2 min ; pyramids starting with 200 run, 400 jog building up to 800 run, 400 jog and down again...

Basically just want the legs to get used to running at pace - and it works much easier on a track than on a road.

Hehe

I have never done that before. I am basically just doing long easy runs.... Maybe track training will help. Its just really *** to actually do it!

They have a track at fourways high? I thought the only ones in GP were at Hector Norris, Pilditch, the dodgy one at Sentra Rand, and maybe the one at marievale, but the soldiers drove tanks over it and stuffed it up.
