Why no MTB'ers at Logwood?

I took my 10 year old to logwood today to do some riding, and i was quite surprised to have been the only cyclists there.

 

The tracks are all still being maintained, it's all well marked, and at R20 per car, it's by far the best value for money riding in JHB. i cycled to logwood from home, and the security guard refused to take my money for riding, stating that the R20 is only for car parking. (which i paid when my wife dropped off the 10 year old with the car.)

 

I know they do not have the amenaties that some of the other parks have, but for me it's about riding more than anythning else.

 

i was just curious as to the lack of riders on the awesome tracks the have there.
