Dubber88 Posted August 12, 2011 Share Very good value for money, especially with the Reba Fork, for 12k you can't go wrong. These bikes are pretty heavy, so don't expect a frame weight similar to a scott alu frame. The only part I would want to upgrade is the wheelset, but to start off with something that is UST ready is already awesome. Appart from the wheel set, you will get thousands of k's out of that bike with no hassles of any sort. Brakes is also easy to maintain. Also nothing wrong with SLX if maintained properly. I would also suggest switching the shifter cables to one of those teflon coated sealed systems, would help those shifters to become a bit lighter on the thumbs. I say go for it! Squier Posted August 12, 2011 Share Yup, 2012 range due at the end of August. I'd wait if I were you. I saw on FB that they are launching their new series on their website on 31 Aug, so should be in the shops by then as well. Here is a sneak peek: http://www.silverbacklab.com/sneak/MERCURY_sneak_2012.htm
