I am contemplating purchasing a CUBE hardtail, but don't know anybody who has/had one, so would just like a little feedback...

Are the frames any good?

Big selling brand in Europe. Local agents are really nice guys, also on the Hub (Darryl O, I think). Why not see if they can do you a good deal locally. Support a local Hubber.

They are quite popular in the UK, and they look great. Had a spin on an AMS120 a while ago and was truly impressed. There are agents in SA too, there is a shop in Centurion that posted here a while ago...

Cube is known for making good quality cost effective bikes. Can't comment on that bikes specifically.

Don't forget two things:

1) Add about 40% onto the bike for import duty and VAT if you're considering buying it from CRC.

2) There is a local Cube agent http://cube-bike.co.za/

I brought in a Cube TT bike from CRC.

25% import duty and 14% VAT.

That was about 18 months ago - not sure if the laws have changed since then or I was ripped off?

Hi StevieL

PM me if you would like to discuss anything in detail.

We will be having a display at the Sunninghill Village (SPAR and SBR Sport)

this Saturday from 9am till 1pm.

EUROBIKE AWARDED CUBE:

BEST HARDTAIL DESIGN AWARD

BEST FULL SUSPNSION DESIGN AWARD

Both these bikes will be on display as well as a range of others.

Anyone who appreciates bicycles should come down and have a look.

Otherwise feel free to contact one of our deals for more info.

It is still cheaper most the time to buy locally and that excludes

all the extra savings that people usually forget when shopping online.

Here we go : on page 917/918

Duties on bikes should be 15% - think you got a raw deal Eldron...

Bloody agents!

*not you Bloody Agent.

That said - it was still a bargain - it was a uber super clearance sale and I got it heaps cheaper than was available in SA at the time.
