Skidmark Posted August 22, 2011 Share Seriously considering the implications of a 10 day cycle from PE to CPT… Average ±100km's a day, 2 rest days in between… Could be fun, ya? Anyone else done a ride like this? Thoughts?

The OriginalSpartacus Posted August 22, 2011 Share Microsoft Club 100 from JHB ride it every year, around January / February. Get in touch with them, they have A and B groups with back up vehicles, plus they arrange all the accommodation etc.

Ya the planning is really just so that we can end our day's ride in a town decent enough to spend the night in.. IE plan where we'll spend each night. The thought has also been in my mind for some time. Are you thinking of the R62? Late Spring/ Early Summer good time of year with North Easterly's blowing. Haven't thought of routes too much yet, but yes R62 would probably be the route we'd take... staying off the main highways and plenty of li'l towns to spend the night in.
