Johan Bornman Posted August 25, 2011 Share I have a job for a youngster who wants to become a bike mechanic and gain some excellent experience. Our busy and professional workshop requires some young blood. The ideal person will be serious about becoming a good bicycle mechanic and will want to learn from the best. He (she) will start at the bottom - wax on, wax off - attend all my courses, pass my exams and then slowly gain experience. He/she will also have a reasonable technical background but will have completed school, be a good communicator and musn't shy away from technical concepts. Our workshop specialises in suspension service, wheelbuilding, specialised repairs and also does general bike maintenance. The workshop is very well equipped and no expense is spared in getting the right tool for the job and doing the right research before embarking on new directions. We work only on the best wheels, shocks and bikes and many bike shops outsource specialised repairs to us. The pressure is high - cry babies need not apply since the atmosphere is businesslike and robust. Good mechanics are not made in a couple of months and the right candidate will understand that experience comes with time and patience. Please don't phone me about remuneration and benefits until I've seen a written motivation (I didn't say CV) why you'd like this job.
RodTi Posted August 25, 2011 Share Good luck on finding a candidate JB! Presumably only candidates living/willing to move to your part of the world need apply?
